Love this.... but have a question. Why don't folks paint the cubes or items before gluing them together? Seems like the seams would be more finished....

Years ago I repurposed painted clementine boxes to hold my herbs and spices. Two boxes fit side by side exactly in the upper cupboards. I also painted one for jello boxes and another for pudding boxes. The cartons are the perfect size and they are sturdy enough to hold many small objects.

Neat idea. The only thing I would do different is add wood glue. What glue is stronger than wood itself and it will not come off.

Great idea although, Hot glue is not the best option if you want this to last long term. I suggest E6000 or some sort of industrial adhesive.

Love the little crate idea, but Dollar Tree has reduced the size of the crates, so that 4 bottles do not fit. 😥 Will check out Michaels.

Using wood glue or E600 along with hot glue get both long-acting and the quick acting of hot glue effect. going for honey walnut stain for boxes matches the warmer tone of the turn table
