GPT makers definitely need an easier way to create actions. Instead of dynamically deciding what action to perform, it's more efficient and better from the UX perspective to have all actions listed in the openapi file.

Is there a way to call custom actions/apis that are not included in Zappier?

Great video. The limitations within ChatGPT is still a hangup for me. In this case, maybe the hangup is in Zapier, but when I follow a neat example like yours but the fancy new technology has to split the info into two documents, I'm expecting each doc to be 100 pages long, NOT 13 lines of text causing it to have to create a new document. Also, it didn't even name the docs for you. I know this is new, and in beta, but this has a long way to go to truly be useful beyond the "neato" factor.

It does name the docs for you. And you can write a function/action that uses the 'create doc' action and the 'append to doc' action so that you overcome the limitations of zapier. Just tried this and it worked.

I was stuck with this too and found out that you need to "wake up" the AI action by triggering it from the "Preview" panel (NOT the "Create" panel) or the ChatGPT UI, and the authentication will go through.

Great video! For the automated email sender, I noticed that the formatting of the email is a bit wonky, on my side as well. The text does not span an entire line on the screen but will wrap and automatically go to another line at around 70-80 characters. I hve no idea how to fix that though. I've tried using html tags but that is not parsed as html and is interpreted as plain text anyway, Any tips?

Pro tip, write your own initialization prompts. You have 8k characters. Use them

Can I for example iterate from an existing GPT, like some kind of a Remix feature? I'm looking into how can I build a Multi-agent collaboration workflow and this seems to be the way, but I've expected that I'd be able to use third parties GPTs as well. Of course I can take the time to create my own GPTs, but that would make the endeavour significantly bigger then it had to be - since there are a lot of great GPTs available already. All these GPTs with zapier integration must be for internal use (or business internal use) right? I am interested in creating GPTs for public users, but If I apply Zapier integration to them, only users with Zapier account and the valid setup will be able to use these GPTs, right? Thanks again!

Hey this is a really helpful video. Is there a way for others to use my gpt and log in with their own google or slack account instead of my default account? I want to share my created gpt with my friends but I can't seem to figure this out.

The issue seems to be related to an invalid token, which is preventing us from verifying if the "send mail" action is available on your account." after I run this follow your steps. But I keep stumbling into a problem, even when I split to two parts of my text in the Create Docs from Text part... this is the response I still get, and I have been refreshing many times over...: We are still facing issues with the action to copy the text to Google Docs. Despite your efforts to configure the Zapier AI Actions, it seems the action is not being recognized or is unavailable. It is showing error when trying to save the GPT. Error: Cannot have multiple custom actions for the same domain. I have deleted the custom actions but still error is existing. Any thoughts on this?

Hey awesome vid! - followed the instructions exactly. However, when I ask it to perform a task via Zappier, apart from the trust allow or deny, it also sends me a link to review and confirm before completing each task. I have to click the link, then click "Run" each time on the Zappier actions page. How do I get around this?

I think the issue fixed itself, haven't had to do it again in the last hour or so. I'm having trouble with the Create Event on Google Calendar, it seems to be really difficult for the GPT to set up events with a start, end, and repeat feature. It can do it, but after several attempts if at all.

It’s best to export it as a csv file. If you save it as excel file, it slows things down

My guess is that the plugins starting becoming obsolete as a result of OpenAI’s latest feature, most notably the Assistants API.

Do you think you Could setup the Bot so ppl in your slack can ask the bot questions through slack and it responds 🤔🤔🤔

I want to let that GPT read my notion pages, but zappier only seems to have "create page", "find page: by title" (note - finding a page only gives chat GPT meta data), and some stuff having to do with databases. I just want it to be able to read my notes.

I get stuck at step 4. It’s asks if I will allow access with OpenAI. When I click Allow, I get send to chatGPT and it says “OAuth state invalid or not found”. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try to do the authentication before step 4. Go to the action and click authentication and choose the last option and see if it lets you do it

But now I'm getting this response from GPT despite I followed the steps in the video: "Unfortunately, the process didn't complete successfully due to a missing required argument in the system. You may want to try again later or check if there's any additional configuration needed on your side."

How do you fix the " Stopped Talking to... .error in my custom GPT?" . Everything in the process is right.

Our courses are the value. Not a single course and we have over 14 of them are on KZread. Those are structured very carefully and they are nothing like a KZread video. And we release about 4 courses a month that people normally sell for $150-$300 each. And we create dozens of PDFs for members, not available on KZread. For example, for Midjourney alone, we have a 100 page prompt book, not available anywhere else. And also, I'm the only instructor on KZread. We have 6 instructors and five of them only making courses and content on Skill Leap. We also review our catalog monthly and make updates since this stuff changes fast. I can't replace a KZread video, but we can replace any video on our platform.

In the action set up process from this link, actions.zapier.com/gpt/actions/ it will ask to connect to your Gmail/Google account. But you don't need to set up anything else on the Gmail side. Only on the Zapier side.

part of the confusion is that the GPT action interface changed after this guide was created by Zapier!

I instructed 2 actions to my GPT, but they always only carried out 1 action and require me to ask them to carry out the 2nd action. Is anyone else facing this problem?

I thought Actions were for GPT to actually pull from Databases/Websites. Imagine giving it access to IMDB and asking "I am looking to write a Sci-fi western, got anything I can get started on?" or after inserting your script you can then ask "So with my Manuscript in your database can you provide me a critique using a show on IMDB of similar elements?" It basically then give us "For a Sci-Fi western try finding Joss Wheeden's "Firefly". or "You've borrowed elements from "X" film?"

none of this is available in 4.0
