I am working in IT for 4 yrs now. Started working after I completed my B tech. Earning decently well too like above average from people who pass out from Tier 3 with CSE. But the mental stress, layoff anxiety is not at all worth it. I am even planning to prepare for Railway or other govt job only because of mental pressure and stress. Its not worth the money. I would be happy to get a govt job with 1/3rd of my current salary. But Govt job is super tough, so I am in dilemma what to do. If I continue IT, it impossible to work after 40yrs. The stress will eat you from inside.

I can truly understand your confusion about private and government job....kyuki m bhi ese hi phase m hu but along with clg i have been preparing for ssc..now i m sure i can crack ssc this yr .... don't be anxious if u r financially sound ap apni job leave krke govt ki tyari kro.. otherwise ap private job hi kro.
Practical baat karta hu,. Agar government job ki preparation kroge to guarantee nhi he ki job lage, bht o chance hote hein government me..... Fir private/corporate me jaoge to ....ab government exam preparation ki wajah se 3-4 saal gap to aa hi gya hoga.. ..or skill bhi zero hogi, to corporate me bhi job nhi lagegi aese........ Basically risk bht he....and youth pareshan he bht is wajah se....

So best option is do corporate or any pvt job job with side by side govt job preparation ( daily 4-5 hour not more than that) 2-4 years me easily clear ho jayega any govt job except UPSC with little effort 🤏

I have completed btech in 2022 and i got placed in Infosys as system engineer but my family not allowed me to join any private company and they said to prepare for govt. Exam (PCS). And now its 2024 i have achieved nothing😢 😢😢and now i m applying for Pvt jobs but not got any opportunity😢😢 because of 0 experience and my family blame me that they gave all facilities to me and i haven't cracked any govt. Exams yet.😭😭now i realise financial independency matters whether it comes from pvt or govt or own business. Please suggest me what should i do??

There is between govt job and Civil services civil services has no match bro to any kind of job other bank railway scc job are just by name they govt they dont have any core government role like civil services and you said govt job is rare no in my class of 40 10 to 15 are in govt job but no body is civil servant that is definitely rare.

Hi, i did my masters in economics.. Recently got a job as a quality analyst in a software company in kolkata.. @@ATechLead brother I am a government servant and once was an AIPMT (now NEET) aspirant. I took the examination but with a fear what if I don't get selected, I studied hard but always with a fear what if I don't get selected I made a plan B took admission in a UG course so that year may be saved but that fear become a hurdle in my selection. After graduation hearing about the glamour of pvt jobs I joined in a real estate firm and the salary was a meagre 10,000 in 2012 but I continued my studies and thought since I am from a small town so there might not be good salary or growth here in a small town, so after completion of my Post graduation I went to Mumbai again the same trap got an in-hand salary of 11560. Now the things Started becoming clear to me. I wasted my time because of media influence which is backed by the government and there was a fear of capital slavery that if this year is wasted what will be about my career. But everything was becoming clearer as the time passed what career why r u fearing just because wanted to be a corporate slave! I wasted my precious years of preparation for mbbs thinking what if I don't get selected. From there I decided not to worry and go by traditional way like my parents. That was the time when I realised that dad is always right. Left that job of a reputed MNC in Mumbai returned back to home and started preparing for those government jobs in which I may stay with my family or at least visit them once a week so I never took civil services exams and took only state level exams without fearing about what if my years are wasted because I was no more a corporate slave mentality. Prepared for 3 yrs took over 2 dozens of examination and finally started getting selected in various exams but finally joined judiciary because I got posting at my hometown just 3 kms away from my home. Though it's a class-3 job I could have made it to class-1 as well though couldn't make it to a govt medical college but was happy n m quite satisfied with my life. You know as per my observation who r not satisfied with the govt jobs! 1. Those who don't know the dark reality of corporate world and think that there will be a growth in a pvt firm, trust me it's a myth in most of the cases because in a pvt job an engineer normally starts his career say from 15-35 k per month in New Delhi but a government peon starts his job from around 27 k now compare an engineer with an engineer and let's take an example of a mechanical engineer posted as section engineer in railways and a mechanical engineer posted in Maruti Suzuki the Engineer will draw a salary of about 1.25 lakh per month in railways with many other facilities on the other hand the Engineer at maruti Suzuki will get about 30-35000 pm Now those who can't make it to iit or premier med eng or mgmt colleges may pace their way towards govt jobs not necessary that they become an IAS or IPS but let me clarify that the govt job is not like a pvt job where someone is getting 3 lakh per month and other employee is getting 8000 per month in the same firm. Govt has a pay structure in which basic pay is adjusted at about 3:1 ratio like the basic pay of a peon is 18,000 and that of an IAS officer is 56,1000 so no govt servant is either from low income or rich category. If u r a government servant u r a middle class, may be a lower middle class or an upper middle class. eng govt job mein agar kahi competition hai o civil mein hai or baki core eng mein hai.civil ka private job sector fresher keliye pura kharab hai campusing mein civil eng ka job milna bohot muskil hai.or mil bhi jaye to salary it ka half upar se per day 13 hr min duty in site no off on sat sun.or off campus mein no chance of job without strong source.eng degree leke govt job ka preparation kar raha hai jo candidates uska majority civil or core eng ka hai or agar sirf eng govt job keliye try karega to job mil ne ka chance low hoga.baki jinka pas merit hai ya financially strong hai mba karta hai ya it mein course karke switch karta hai.

Put your profile on every job portal and job searching group. And keep applying for all the jobs possible Abhi recession chal rha hai, isliye jyada effort karna padega nhi to khud hi company reach out kar leti h. Don't worry, a good time will come.
