I just can't get enough of listening to the unique voice of Warren Haynes, so rich and full, packed with emotions, perfect harmonies, rough and smooth simultaneously, a man's voice at it's very best AND accompanied by the brilliant backbone of the Mules it's World Class!! 👌❤️

Saw Mule the first time at the alternative pub in Asheville NC when Woody was still alive. Saw a bunch of shows saw a dozen Warren Haynes Christmas jams. I've lived on Big Island Hawaii for 8 years now. All I have is U Tube videos and all those great memories. Warren Haynes ain't gonna play Big Island Hawaii anytime soon and no one else is either. Go to the shows while you can cause you never know when the last one you see will be✨🤙

Been a fan since day # 1 when it was 3 piece power Trio. Check out The 1994 setlist. They had a hell of a lot of cover song and some of there own. I'm 70 and still rock with the best of them Warren Haynes, Woody, and Matt were the nicest individuals you ever want to meet. Beyond a doubt he's on My List for one of the top guitarist in my opinion. This band today is still kicking my old ass today. MULE IS MUSIC FOR YOUR ASS

IMO: Warren is not under rated...he is highly rated and held in high regard by most who play and those who listen to him. Great player and has a booming blues voice. the mule just keeps on keeping on and always a great show.

That sentence is worn out. So and so is so under rated....well he makes a living playing his guitars and Jerry Garcia's guitars and is critically acclaimed amongst his peers so you think he should wear a crown or something? Obviously he is rated highly. Warren is one of the best guitarists going right now and history will be the judge of his rating. A better term would be he is lesser known to the commercial world as a guitar player but is a master of his craft. Highly rated by all who know who he is. Hugo , Not sure if that SG is Warrens or Derek's just because if you haven't noticed the Neck pickup is backwards just like Gary Moore & Peter Greene's 59 Les Paul was. Out of phase . I have seen Derek play this same ax many times . Just a point of interest to guitarists & equipment geeks. I play so it's of interest to myself & your comment made me reply to yours . No other reason . And i do agree with what you said.

It was the first time I saw Warren playing on that SG instead one of his Paulas or ES 335/345 and I know, Derek has 2 red ones, one with autographs and one without .He although plays a black one. When Warren takes his Firebird he sounds a little bit different, but still like Mr.Haynes😆. Kindly regards from Germany, Hugo.

@@hugostahlbaum8714 Hugo, The Black SG may be the one Dickey Betts gave him though I'm kind of guessing but Dickey & Duane shared a Black SG in the early days of the Allmans & i have seen Dickey play it in concert. On the guitars both Warren & Derek have are quite a few ,much more than you usually see. As a player myself I'm more than aware every guitar has it's own sound & your tone come mostly from your fingers less you cram a ton of effects into it . Seen both Warren & Derek with many other guitars & Warren even has a 12 string Les Paul !!! Hard to believe but the post of him with that is on YT here. He's playing with Govt. Good to see at least some of the bass player. Those guys are often overlooked by the ones taking the footage. One half of the engine room. Music would be kinda empty without them.

I can't speak for the US but here in Australia we are pretty starved for this EXCELLENT music. There's only a small community radio station which only plays this sort of stuff for a couple of hours on a Monday afternoon. having said that ironically the Blues & Roots (and Rock) concerts here are huge. We have the Byron Bay Blues & Roots Festival which is massive BUT (and its a BIG BUT) unfortunately over the last few years they've been introducing more modern style artists.

I was really hoping this was a cover of the Megadeth song.

PAF's. Most of the tone is in the fingers and that SLO-100 and homestead in the backline. He used to use a Diaz years ago, but he retired it. But the SLO-100 has always been a staple of his sound.

@Thrash Metal Studio dose and life before insanity has the best tone for me. Judicious use of a Leslie in those albums. I still love thrash...still love to play it. But warren is one of my top 5 favorite guitar players. He does no wrong in my eyes. Seen em live 3 times. Best show I've seen, between govt mule and gojira.

@Thrash Metal Studio yes sir. First heard it in 2004. Changed my musical perspective to say the least. I went from chaosphere and nothing from meshuggah, to govt mule overnight. The mules been like therapy for me.
