6 or 8lb leader. For jigheads I use 1/16 or 1/12oz depending on how much flow there is l. I find the osp hp shadtails work really well. Both in 3.1" and 2.5"

Not sure I've never kept one to try and have heard really mixed things from people who have kept them

OM Hatchery Trout, what an absolute horse bruh. I wonder if those old factory breeders breed when released in the river or if they're all played out? Those things are like dam pets, they knock you 'ass over head' like an over eager large dog.

I'm not sure how successful they are spawning in the river but the ones that are still in there definitely try to spawn

I saw a post on a camping page i follow and some what looked like first timers thought they were all trout fishing gods when they caught a few huge ex breeders out of a small dam in NSW. Straight on the BBQ for them.

The Goulburn river between eildon pondage and Alexandra. Pretty much every major public access point has been stocked with big trout for opening
