At first, I thought it was painting a big more colorful face, but the more you paint later, you will feel the natural balance of transitional natural light and the beautiful and true patterns that are particularly pleasing to the eye. That is the success of your work and achievement!

Masterful use of guache. This is also an extremely instructive video of color as value. Thank you so much for this post.

can anybody tell me that if gouache applied at once on the large area such as the area of this size face does it not dry making the different tones to blend smoothly difficult? as we do in case of oil paints which remain workable for a long period of time and allows for smooth gradations? Please help with this ..I mean what did this artist do too keep the tones from drying up ?

gouache is easily reactivated with water even when its dried on the painting.

В принципе могли каждые 10-15 минут другого китайцы сажать и по очереди отдыхать. Все равно разницы никакой бы не было. Все одинаковые

I’m not sure but from their other videos when they zoom in it kinda looks like a sheet of canvas (like canvas paper or something)

If you apply it too thickly on a flexible surface you run that risk, yes, but on stiff board or panel you are fairly safe. It is not really designed for impasto painting, though!

It's possible it's acrylic gouache which doesn't crack, but might just be a stiff surface
