And this game's got a special edition for 200 dollars. I think it's reasonable people just wanna see what they're buying before agreeing to purchase it whatsoever. The playable demo for this did not feel like gothic at ALL it was so bad it was clear the people making it had no idea what made the games good in the first place and was making a very generic action rpg out of it. I have absolutely no faith in this project.

This producer must be a master of persuasion indeed. If developers thought "its a good idea to make reameke of Gothic" thay had to make some research on history of the game and discover how loved is first and second part. If so, they should know, that the worst of Gothic(kind) is Arcania and Forsaken Gods (in my opinion gap between them and basic version of Gothic 3 is greater than gap between basic Gothic 3 and Gothic 2), in light of that fact choosing that producer is probably the worst available option. It is incompressible for THQ to make so good decision about what game deserves a remake, and then making so bad decision about who should be responsible for making it. That guy must have real life version of "control" spell from Gothic; he used it on them so that they agreed for making him in charge of the project (That is fiction, but still makes more sense than reality).

Mud or Gomez has somehow gotten into THQ Nordic and persuaded some Shadows/Guards to help him make some gold... Magical Ore is much more valuable.

Why not a papyrus map of whole Colony of G1 signed by Graham from old camp? Maybe some runes or magic ore onto the notebook or wristband, I feel like this was a missed oppurtunity. Shame...

This Collector's Edition and its marketing is absolutely pathological for THQ's lack of understanding of the nostalgic side of Gothic, as well as the pathological exploitation of the brand. As if it wasn't a human but an AI (a bad one, indeed) that created the thing. It almost doesn't matter who you ask from the collector's community (and you could have done that beforehand) the desired/hoped for descriptions are ALL very similar. Retro style presentation Contents: Figure!!! (Either a remake of the goblin-throwing troll or the unarmored hero) Map of Mine Valley Card game (As in Polish G1 CE) Trailer Instructions Comic Games DVD (included as a bonus, Gothic 1 in the original with information about the most popular mods) Personally, as a big collector, I don't put up with that shit and if anything, I'll get the junk a few months after release if it costs less than half as much on Ebay.

Someone needs to fire your PR team, this is not how you promote the game. NO ONE is going to pay £200 bucks in this climate. Seriously what the hell THQ?

Zrobione po najmniejszej linii oporu. Nie ma figurki fajnej tylko jakaś maska śniącego, to poza tym powinni dorzucić chociażby steelbooka, artbooka, mapę gry i może jakieś karty czy amulet idąc drogą oryginału. Za mało za tak duża cenę. Jeżeli chodzi o figurki to chyba niestety dalej pozostają fanowskie projekty. Szkoda bo miała to być pierwsza kolekcjonerka, która kupię nową. Zawód roku za sporą kasę

@@riam850 Gdyby był w ozdobnej tubie (taki jak w grywalnym demo z 2019), to by było jeszcze lepiej. W końcu to od niego wszystko się zaczęło, to pierwotna motywacja by nie zadowolić się byciem zwykłym kopaczem/kretem/nowicjuszem. Mam nadzieję, że nie wykreślą dla oszczędności czasu postaci sędziego i Pyrokara z intra (bo przecież strój i dwie twarze które widzimy tylko przez niecałą minutę). Bo to oznaczałoby, że tną koszty ile wlezie. Wtedy nadzieja umarłaby chyba już zupełnie.

Anything worth the $200. I don't mind there not being a release date; it's done when it's done. However, you must have known the backlash from fans upon seeing a trailer for a "collector's edition" without any gameplay footage.

Piranha Bytes killed itself by releasing Elex 2 which sold very poorly and was a mediocre game. And despite that flop, Bjorn Pankratz (G1, G2 and G3 dev and Piranha Bytes lead since Risen 2) insisted on making Elex 3 which caused conflict inside the studio. Most of the team wanted to return to their roots. Besides, member of the original Piranha Bytes, Kai Rosenkranz (responsible for G1-G3 soundtrack) is on the Gothic Remake team. To be clear, I'm not defending THQ/Embracer and their scummy pre order tactics.
