One of the "goth" guys at my high school was one of the most amazing, smartest & creative people I've ever met. When he'd hear others being bullied, he'd intervene. When he saw you were having a bad day, he'd joke around to lift your spirits. Unfortunately, he passed away in a car accident sometime after graduation. RIP Shaun

Had a friend who was a goth easily one of the most smartest kids and friendliest kid in high school. Thankfully still in touch after all those years

The stepmother is a bad mother for being so abusive, and the father is a bad father for not standing up for his daughter from the very beginning. He should have kicked the stepmother out early on, or left with his daughter. He definitely chose the stepmother over his own daughter, and that would be emotionally devastating for the daughter, regardless of the end outcome shown here. A woman as toxic as the stepmother does not change, at least nowhere near that quickly, and someone like that typically doesn't give a damn if they turned out to be wrong.

Wow if my partner ever treated my child like that I would be showing them the door asap cuz if my partner can’t except my child then I can’t except them either. Shame on this mother for acting like that towards her stepdaughter as that’s why stepparents are giving evil titles becuz people like this mother. Thanks again Dhar for another amazing video and I am so proud of how far you and Laura have come since first starting on your living room couch and so I shall continue to follow you and support you’s. As an gothic teen i relate very much, i got bullied for a while and i couldn't stand it so i told to my family and the principal and thank god that the principal and teachers are so sweet and that stuff so i don't get bullied anymore bc they all know if they say something i will just tell the teachers and then they take care of it. It’s sad that people are judged regardless of what they wear… We are all human, we all bleed the same color.

As someone with a goth partner, I hear gossip and people judging them all the time. It hurts but they're able to push through it and I'm so proud of them. People need to stop judging others just because of a style, it doesn't affect their personality at all. Some people just don't see that, but I'm glad you're bringing awareness to this topic. From personal experience goths, emos, metalheads are usually outcasts with traumas and bad experiences And are usually some of the nicest people you will ever meet.

The valedictorian for the class of 1996 was “goth”. She even skipped a grade in elementary school. She was one of the smartest and sweetest girls I knew. She even attended church. Some like to wear pink flowers others prefer to wear black and chokers. Character is what’s important not clothing.

I mean... She's not goth, but this is a great message. Personally, I'm a punk/emo/metalhead and people always say I'm weird. It's annoying. I feel like people in the alternative community are unfairly judged. I feel as if they are the nicest people I've met.

Goth girls are actually beautiful, clever and smart. Love them. They are calm, sweet and nice to others. Idk if they may or may not get judged regards of how they look in real life but I do believe they love others and want to be loved by others. The girl who played goth is so cute.

being a person with a more alternative style in a very … conservative school, this actually hits pretty hard 😭 I’ve never really had many people be mean to me to my face but there’s always those people who just have nothing good to say. thanks for posting a video like this :)

Bro I wore nail polish to school one day because my friend who’s a girl was having a bad day the day before, I walk into class and these two douchebags are sitting there laughing to themselves like they think I’m blind and deaf. I tell them they’re being pricks and they call me goth as an insult, like bro just because I’m wearing black nail polish doesn’t make me goth, and what’s wrong with being goth. Some of my best friends are goth.

The way the dad toldR Ruby to "Stop" the second she said "She hates me!" But doesn't tell the wife to stop when shes flat out insulting and abusing Ruby.. Made me so mad

Honestly I think Ruby is gorgeous as is, even with all of her tattoos and piercings. When she was crying at 14:14 I couldn’t help but get emotional as well. That Dhar Mann message is true.

The goths at my school when i was in high school were usually the coolest people. I had one guy take a flying leap over a railing just to tell me he liked my shirt. They're incredible people. In fact, I'm more likely to trust a person who looks gothic or has a bunch of tattoos and piercings than a "normal" person

I like how the sign in the back when they opened the door to meet ruby says “stay humble and kind” and then there’s the mom 💀

This was such a great lesson. it doesn't matter who you are, your personality or your style. this is a lesson that shows you that you should always accept others, and not being disrespectful just because of somebody appearance.
