It also stopped being a 'nothing burger' when people actually tracked down their identities/names and found them engaging in suspicious activities and organisations in the country... beyond just 'tourism'. The irony of a film crew asking another film crew not to film...

The concerning thing is the sheer audacity of them demanding that he stop filming in a public place, even more concerning is the female copper ordering him to do the same thing. Who is that cop working for and why are these Communists being so brazen in ordering British citizens to follow the laws of Communist China. This was deliberate, they were confident that they could get away with ordering the people of the UK around.

The opening scene here says it all go watch it if you haven't seen it. She happily walks up to Brendan and his cameraman waves at the camera says hello, shakes his hand and asks her friend to play. They are obviously a tv crew traveling around the UK making travel content for China What I think happened here is someone in their team has gotten scared that their boss will be upset that their characters will be used to make money for someone else and they will get in trouble, they then begin to threaten Brendan to scare him into not using the footage he has taken. Chinese are very authoritarian and they will be very scared about how much trouble they will be in (rightly so this might effect their families) they also think that we are scared of authority but fail to realise that they have none in this situation. So desperate though that they now start making bizzare false allegations of racism for pointing out that this isn't china and claiming they have image rights and "do not touch her, you are not the same age". Totally bizarre they got way out of their depth and relied on intimidation to get what they wanted but then that is normal for chinese.

Quite agree. The police officer was perfectly willing to come over and 'tell Brendan' what the other party had asked her to say, but quickly tried to bat him down when he asked the same thing of her, saying 'I'm not telling them anything that you are telling me to tell them'. Very unimpressive.

It's worse than that - the policewoman also clearly conveniently ignored verbal evidence that one of the gentlemen was armed. In the full video one of the Chinese women shouted on at least 5 occasions to one of the Chinese men "don't shoot him". Why was there not a swat team there followed by a search of all the Chinese characters involved? Do you think Brendan would have got away with thinly-veiled threats to shoot people?

I’ve been watching Dr K’s channel for more than a year and he’s always bragged about having many followers from China and is always very courteous when they come to his piano. Complete the opposite of being a racist!

The police is absolutely correct on all counts. Even this video did not accuse the police of wrong doing, it tried to potray the police to be at fault but she is absolutely correct. If you are making money with Brenden is from the video, you absolutely need consent of the individual. Second, its clearly racial harassment. The whole thing would have de-escalated into fairness and obscurity if the police woman had told the Chinese visitors that there are free video rights in public in the Uk, and they need to move along. She didn't, revealing a really upsetting mindset in law enforcement. Enforce the laws in your country, not opinions or media moodswings.

And what about CCTV in London St Pancras? Must we stop that? And what about that boy who is filming with his cellphone?

I thought filming in public was the very framework on which the state and Police rest their CCTV laws? London is the CCTV capital of the world - so if pianists in St Pancras can’t film, I suggest they also switch off the cctv in that station too.

They apparently didn't leave because they needed the piano for filming a skit or commercial. They didn't want someone to film what they were going to film and produce it before they had a chance to produce it. If they explained this to Dr. K, he would have surely respected their wishes. Instead, they only told him not to film them, nothing more. Maybe it was miscommunication caused by a language barrier and cultural differences. At last one of them is fluent in English and understanding of Western customs, so I don't know.

1. They had been waiting 40 minutes to use the public piano for their activity, they did not want to be filmed while waiting, she told him politely and he continued teasing her. 2. He was told that they are Chinese, the pianist teased them as “sneaky Japanese” in his video and asked them to DANCE then criminated they "are not as fun as British girls" without their consent
