My milk freakin spoiled early. Had a whole bowl of cereal, and the milk ruined it. My head hurts😭🙄

Spoiled milk can be annoy sometimes mostly if the expired date has not reached, you would keep asking yourself many questions.

I also noticed that the smell test can lead to false positives, because the top of the jug will start to smell bad faster than the main milk contents below. IMO, best way to test your milk is to pour it into a different clean vessel & then smell/taste it.

this just happened to me I get great value brand milk from wal-mart same kind I buy all the time the date on the jug is Feb 2 and its spoiled and there was little bit over a half gallon left

Thank you for explaining this! I too have been having problems with milk going sour before the date. I purchased organic milk from Aldi, and it went sour a week before the date. I had hardly used any of it, and I had paid premium price for organic milk. This has happened more than once also. I've decided not to buy milk there anymore.

Doesn't matter if it's Best buy or Sell buy, it will still spoil if the company doesn't know how to remove the bacteria

Had been buying gallons from THE big box store, usually went bad a week before. Started buying 1/2 gals. Same deal, bad milk. Also had our fridge temperature checked, it is working properly.

Yes i noticed. I'm poor & losing that & not live in best place hard to be clean, but 2 % good brand or Walmart. Mines is sour, so next time freezing. My tummy is sour today, cuz Corona can't go out much for fear, depressed etc now no milk. Lost days not ate so should have neen drinoking then not beem as mich loss maybe then gone to store like wanted Monday etc now awed still not gone for my meat. I'm looking for cheap enough not $4 omething, but $3, yet last. Cvs pharmacy has been good, but no sales. Hope to get some there instead. I always pick back furthest date still no luck lately. I make it into cuban dessert, but it is a pain in the butt & time consuming heat up apt a bit boiling hrs till reduced, no pit anymore so doing it in microwave batches adding milk everytine gets reduced. I can use little tea tin then to make it properly as micro is not the same results to dry it to gooey almost taffy like, but not. I don't like it cream, but dryer crunchy even of possible in toaster oven. Lately last few times not so great tasting or texture like did once or so long ago.

Just called hood i drink the 2% and in the last 6 months had to throw away about half a gallon usually i buy half a gallon but being home more because of the coronavirus been buying whole gallons and this is hood brand I have no problems with Garilick brand from the other store

A couple of days ago I went to the fridge and opened up a carton that I’d first opened maybe two weeks ago, and it was clearly spoiled…chunky and smelled terrible. It was three days before the expiration date. No clue what went wrong, had been keeping it on the bottom shelf of the fridge.

May well be improper handling issue at store (or in handling by processor). Heard someone once say that leaving milk setting out for hours in the store before refrigeration was the problem.

If I don't use milk withing a couple of days AFTER it's sell/use by date, I scald it by heating to 170 degrees F. That always allows me to use it up ----so far, anyway. I mostly use milk added to tea, and I don't find any taste change when the milk is scalded. Perhaps it would be worth a try/...

Just bought a gallon of milk and it went straight through me. It’s not even expired but I know when milk goes straight through and it doesn’t taste fresh but it feels a lil thicker then normal milk than it’s not good milk! I know fresh milk when I taste it!

Happened to me too

Our dairy milk keeps going expired before the expiration date but my mom forces me to drink it anyways because she doesn’t want to throw a whole jug out

Your aim should be to use milk soon after buying it. Buy in suitable quantities so that you can use it up. If I can't do that, I scald milk at 170m degrees and avoid having it go bad.

Any one having issues with seal test milk from canada ???

Milk has become money in a jug that you pour down the drain. Come on USDA & FDA !! All the hype about milk's goodness!! Remember, hype is first part of hyperbole.

I'm here because I'm a week before the sell by date. I bought it just a week ago and…im already noticing it's starting to go bad. I got three days left max. I never let it out of the fridge longer than 15 seconds since buying it.

Add darygold. That crap taste like crap long before it expires.

If you drink directly from the container you can kiss it goodbye ..it won't last .. also a way to tell if someone has drank from the container too

I’m assuming this is based in American, coz my milk in England is brilliant
