The Night King is fast enough to turn and catch Arya, fast enough to see her drop the knife, but not fast enough to move one step forward as soon as she drops it, or throw her with his superhuman strength. Everything about this scene was dumb. And I guess I'm finally ready to admit it.

There should be an end and thats what it is. It depends upon how you see it, yes even though night king was faster than Arya, still aarya's one move got him. No one can be perfect. And what do you expect from it?? Do you think night king was immortal?. Good thing you only admit it by yourself 😂😂. Hell of a comment 😂.

@@genesisgenesis9888 But it wasn't a surprise was it? The Night King saw her coming, caught her, and saw the knife drop. It was the complete opposite of surprise. It was inaction on the Night King's part. And you can't even make the argument that Night King didn't know that it was Valyrian Steel, if that was the case, why did he bother to catch her hand in the first place? It was just beyond stupid.

Fuck you mean???? Homeboy was a vain narcissist craven bitch. Yea ok he was pretty much a hostage at winterfell after his father rebelled but he was treated like royalty. He was Robb’s boy. Rode with him in battle, saved Bran from that wildling. Ned told Catelyn last time he saw her in Kings Landing to keep Theon close but Robb of course sends him to Pyke. Then Theon not only decided against what his father told him to do but on his own decided to take winterfell aka the place and people that raised him. He didn’t have to do that, he thought of that all his own and it didn’t help the iron born one bit in their plans. Then he makes everyone think he killed Bran and Rickon, but he should have taken both them and Meera and Jojen back to Pyke as hostages as soon as he took winterfell. He’s stupid and got no honor. Like he broke bread with Robb and did him dirty. That turned the tide for Robb. Ight if the iron born take moat caolin and deep wood motte it’s whatever but to take winterfell, he had to respond. Fuck Theon he deserved to die and his dumbass ran at the night king. If he would have stayed by bran, Arya might have not gotten caught because Theon would have had his attention.

Theons Arc was beautiful. He was a stupid boy, became a monster, died a hero who faced bigger monsters than himself to protect the weak. Jorahs arc was good as well, he acted selfish his whole life. He failed his subjects, shamed his father, only to gain gold and love. Then he went east, started anew, but chased the love of a young beauty again. When he learned, he could not have her, his flaws came out and he was shown a narcissist in the talk with barristan. In the end, he learned what true love ment. It is not about sex and glory, but about sacrifice and protection. Many see an idiot in him, but I think you can find peace that way. Heartsbane is the ultimately perfect sword for him.

And somehow the Night King enters the Red Keep and faces The Mountain, because the rk is somewhat a bottle neck where numbers don't matter THAT much

As disappointed as I am with how they ended the white walker story I can kinda understand the Night Kings arrogance. He's had nothing but straight Ws so far. The only man he considered a threat had a dragon between him and himself. The only obstacle between him and victory was a young man, terrified. Followed by a cripple who was unarmed. He most likely considered everything done and dusted. So yeah, he basks in victory and draws his sword slowly, as if savouring every second, he didn't expect Arya, the faceless assassin to jump out, yet in the last second he caught her. That in itself is some spiderman level reflexes, and right before he crushes her throat she gets the drop on him. A testimemt in itself to her own skills. Have I given this more thought that the idiots who wrote this did? Of course I have. But I'm desperate to love this. And I'll take any excuse I can to not hate game of thrones, because I loved it all up until it turned sour

From my understanding the Night didn't even to start the offensive himself. He controls or influences the weather in some way. He could have let the human army standing there all night, freezing to death and in the morning it would have been a walkover as wights to do not tire. He could easily killed his enemies with cold alone make them unable to fight except maybe for inside. He could just had let them starved to death. Meanwhile Cersei would have waited in Kingslanding thinking everything under control but the cold weather bites the city and people start leaving and dying. This flying Arya out of nowhere was really stupid. Her storyline was based on enacting revenge for those who killed her family, like the Walders but also the Lannisters. Having her nothing to do with the death of the Lannisters was really wrong in my opinion. Helping Jon to kill the Night King later would had made more sense. And for Denearys, she can go mad on the fact that her expidition to Westeros resulted in the destruction of her armies and some of her dragons , first fighting Cersei and Euron then go the wight walkers an what is left for her is depleted army, Missandeei and Jorah gone, not welcomed,, Jon is a threat to her throne because of his newly discovered family background, bickering in Westeros and maybe also problems in the cities she liberated before. Maybe she she had enough of westerosi bickering and decided to destroy to burn cities to the ground who did not swear oath to fealty to her resulting in her assassination. Jon on his own will decides to abdicated as king and goes with Tormund to the far North leaving the survivors like Sansa, Tyrion etc to fend for themselves. Well these are my thoughts on how the show could have ended.

Hell, Mirri Maz Durr could come back from the dead with dragon glass shards in her coochie and let the Night King hit and it would still be fine. I also think Arya isn't a bad choice, and that she was foreshadowed by Melissandre in like S3 to do this deed anyway.

This scene looks like it might’ve been really good but it’s so dark that you can’t see anything happening

I had no problem watching it as the show was going on. My tv is set to bright for Skyrim, helps to see easier in the dungeons and also that episode
