Those sanding blocks are so easy to make. Just take a block of wood and wrap a sheet of sand paper around it. I am sure most everyone knows this already, just incase there is one that doesn't just wanted to share. 😁

I have a Russian Blue cat named Cleo, who sometimes eats clear package tape when Mom isn't fast enough in getting breakfast ready. And, yes, dear Cleo rhen barfs a few minutes later, which Mom gets to clean up. Tape and furball. Life is so complicated sometimes! But Mom loves Cleo, inappropriate eating habits and all. That is how we Moms are.

I have done altered playing cards before, I used dressmakers pattern paper (tissue) on the card and love that look. It also scrunches up lovely 🙂 Love the addition of the ribbon and raffia woven in ☺♥

I hope everyone who sees this has a wonderfully creative day! HAHAHA, it seems that I watched this 6 months ago and found myself coming back today to get ideas for the altered playing cards I'm working on. And... in doing so, inadvertantly solved a little memory puzzle I've had for a few weeks now... I found a set of notecards... index cards... that I had (obvious to me now, it was shortly after this video aired cus I couldn't find anything else to use as base then, hehe) glued wrinkled tissue paper on a few and the "plain" layer from a napkin on a few (again, all awesomely wrinkly)... but i stopped there (after inking). When I found them again, I had ZERO memory of making them. It wasn't until I started re-watching this video that it hit me. I still cannot remember actually making them (gotta love how quirky memory can be), but I CAN remember that this video was the spark, and I can remember holding them after I got to that point and deciding that they'd be perfect for "ephemera starters". (So handy to grab 1 - or more - and finish customizing/altering it for whatever project I'm working on. Finished stuff is great, too... I have other containers for anything "ready to use in journal," like fully decorated altered paperclips, etc, and... after today, hopefully a few of these altered playing cards. All are inspired by Pam's most recent (Sept 16) video... I decided my "prompts" were: buttons, punched pieces - and all i have are two sizes of hearts and 3 sizes of circles! 😅, and playing cards. I covered the backs of 10 of the playing cards (the backs were the usual design in red) yesterday with thin (plain) newsprint-like paper. You can just BARELY see the design through it. I also covered a bit of a couple of the fronts. I figured doing this meant I could use it later for a journaling card, or just glue it down to become a pocket, tuck, decor, or flip. Versatile beginning bases. I did FINISH 1, but ended up covering the entire front of the card, too. Can't see ANYTHING through it. 😂 oops. Still love it. Today... some wrinkly tissue paper will be involved. 😊 Possiy some stickers... I dunno. Definitely buttons. 😂 ACK. I just realized... the one I finished... I forgot the punched piece. 😂 i'll just glue it to the back and use it for a journaling card. Or, even better, just ignore the fact that I forgot. 😊

Oh my.... oh my..... As a newbie of 2 months, I watch each new video on Mon, Wed, Fri and Sat as you post them Pam. And... I am on the last few videos of the playlist called "How To Make a Junk Journal From an Old Book" and that has been very helpful. Next, I'm going to work my way through the 49 videos in the "Journal Page Layout Ideas" which is the one that I believe you were referring to yesterday... i.e. that contains "The List" 🙂 Then I want to watch the 14 episodes of the playlist "Neutral Junk Journal." But.... my oh my oh my...... As best I can tell, you have a total of 766 videos on your KZread channel. I'm 77 years old...... how am I ever going to be able to watch them all?????? LOL

I wonder if this might also be a way to use the white ply of napkins too. I never quite know what to do this them and generally end up tossing.

Pam, YESSSS, there are brown Stabillo All pencils! I have a black, a brown, and a red one now. Red was the 1st one I got - by mistake, thinking it was a different type, lol. Fell in love with it, but had little use til Pam showed me her trick with the black one! Immediately, I went to look for one in black and grabbed a brown at the same time. I believe they are available individually in various other assorted colors. Not 100% sure if they come in packs of assorted colors (like crayola colored pencils), but I'd be surprised if they didn't. Honestly, I don't see myself picking up more colors, other than, perhaps, blue and or/green. I can see myself using those colors often enough to warrant purchasing. Great pencils that I wouldn't have thought twice about without Pam!

Thanks for showing how the Crop-a-dile works. I've seen others use them but never understood just what they were or how they worked. I bought a set of Stabilo woody 3-in-1 colored pencils/crayons and have been delighted at how they work. A touch of water and I can spread color easily. 😊
