Applicational Questions: 1. As you read Luke, take note of all the different people that Jesus interacts with (poor people, social outcasts, various women, Pharisees, etc.). How does Jesus treat and interact with each one? If the early church that Luke was writing to imitated Jesus in this way, how do you think it would have impacted their Roman world? If we were to imitate Jesus in this way, how do you think it would impact our world? 2. In Luke’s Gospel, both sin and forgiveness are talked about a great deal. What does Jesus say about forgiveness? Who receives forgiveness? What do each of these people do in order to receive forgiveness? How might you imitate those who received forgiveness in Luke? 3. Luke records more of Jesus’ parables than any other Gospel. What does each parable teach about how to please God? What does it teach about the Kingdom of God? We are very excited to get to all of John's works, including his Gospel. Before we get there, we will finish Luke's writings, meaning that Acts will be our next book. But stay tuned as the Gospel of John will be coming right after that!
