Goslar’s Kaiserpfalz: The Imperial Palace and the Nationalist Cult

In this episode of Searching for History, I show you the Kaiserpfalz, Goslar Germany’s imperial palace. Goslar is famous for being a medieval seat of the Holy Roman Empire. In this video I talk about the Kaiserpfalz, the Kaiserhaus, the cathedral porch of long-gone Goslar Cathedral, and the nationalist cult of Kaiser Wilhelm I, including the Kyffhäuser monument and the Deutsches Eck. Please join me as I present to you Goslar’s imperial palace.

Goslar’s Kaiserpfalz and its exhibits were very impressive. Previously, we had no idea how important Goslar was to the HRE.
