I’m sure Noel thought that was great. Thing is Noel is much more diverse now music wise as a solo artist, I bet he respects Damon a lot, who always has done that. Oasis as good as they were, were always a bit one note. I was at uni during the britpop era. Saw blur like 10 times m. Always a great show.

muska34 Well Damon Albarn beat Oasis in the battle of Britpop on Top of the Pops, been in Blur/Gorillaz/Africa Express, has huge worldwide success with Gorillaz and well known for working with a whole variety of artists from Snoop Dogg to Shaun Ryder, whereas Liam Gallagher is stuck in the past of banging on about Oasis and his brother and not moving forward onto new things/music styles that aren’t like Oasis which is why Noel Gallagher is doing something completely different to it with his new music
I met Damon after a gig at Brixton Academy the night before. He was getting on a tube. I didn’t know which one I needed. He told me it was this one and held the doors for me. We chatted about the gig for a couple of stops before he got off. Lovely guy.

LYRICS We got the power to be loving each other No matter what happens We've got the power to do that On a le pouvoir de s'aimer, okay? We got the power to be ringing the great bell out there above us We got the power for that We got the power to do that And, we dream of home, I dream of life out of here Their dreams are small My dreams don't know fear (I got all you) I got my heart full of hope I will change everything No matter what I'm told How impossible it seems (we got the power) We did it before And we'll do it again We're indestructible Even when we're tired And we've been here before Just you and I Don't try to rescue me I don't need to be rescued We got the power to be loving each other No matter what happens We've got the power to do that On a le pouvoir de s'aimer, okay? We got the power to be ringing the great bell out there above us We got the power for that We got the power to do that Get yourself up to the silent altar and call me But don't forget the machines 'Cause if your choice is chipping it down on the M1 (1, 1, 1) Then you'll wake up in the morning You'll be storming, oh, oh, oh We got the power to be loving each other No matter what happens We've got the power to do that On a le pouvoir de s'aimer, okay? We got the power to be ringing the great bell out there above us We got the power to do that We got the power, power, power, power, power We got the power We got the power

I have to laugh at these comments. Gorillaz are always going to stretch beyond what you're comfortable with. Listen to their music without the need to critique. Sometimes you're going to understand the message, sometimes your going to find your own translation, sometimes weird sounds and odd instruments and singing that seems off key at first starts to come together to a symphony. They've never been a band I can just throw on for a friend who's never heard them before. I tell friends to go listen to _____ album.

I love how the melody is different from the album version but both are still good tho
"Hello would you like to perform live with Gorillaz?" "Wow yes! What do you want me to do?" "Just...hit a bell a few times"
Cool, sassy, musical, clever, progressive. Underrated, pigeon holed. Once on Graham Norton or was it Jonathan Ross? I saw Good Song and my wee ones got to hear think tank growing up. But seeing this performance made me rush to Brixton Academy and shout where’s the bell? Where’s the bell? This track inspires me and uplifts me and chimes with how I feel for my Cherry 🍒 Love u so much RoRo 🧑🎤 xx
