Would be good to see him again. I don't know if I manage it, but we'll see how things go. Once the Prague series is finished, there will be a bit more from Awali's troop to come and after that a new series with a new troop.

Lope mein erster Gorilla Junge den ich kenne gelernt habe. Er war von klein auf ein ganz besonderer Gorilla sein immer verschmitztes Gesicht er war ist schon immer ein Powerpaket .Er und sein besonder Gang. Mit seinem Bruder Shufai war immer am toben. Ich finde es gut das er sich wohl fühlt schöner wär es wenn sein Bruder Shufai noch mit ihm zusammen wäre .Ich wär sehr froh wenn Lope eine Familie gründen könnte mit Annie .❤

i miss seeing Lope playing and running wild with Shufai. I hope he's happy.

@@SloggerVlogger I don't forsee a power struggle, Dishi really doesn't have to get involved in any conflict resolution between Lope and Aybo. Plus there are no females in the mix that would add friction. Should Lope decide to take top dog position what would that look like? Who gets the largest suite and top bunk, who eats fist, no doubt Aybo has chosen Lope and will stay glued to him come hell or high water. LOL

As it is the natural order of things as in the wild, the young males leave their birth families or their father will chase them off. The young females leave their birth families as well and join another group. In the wild, young males usually stay solitary until they get females. The zoos just put them in bachelor groups until they get females for them. They can't stay with their own family groups at a certain age as too much tension.

Blackbacks, or young male gorillas, typically have to leave their family troop when they reach sexual maturity. This is a natural behaviour. As Lope becomes mature, he is competing with Oumbi. It already became apparent when Oumbi didn't let him inside and Lope spent most of his time outside. Before any fighting started they moved him to his own bachelor pad at the zoo and then to France with the other two males.

Please tell me how having three males who are not related is going to work when females come into the mix? I think many of us want to know also?

This will always be a male troop. They might change their composition and live with other males in the future. When the blackbacks are ready to start their own families and there is a suitable family available (which will be decided by the breeding program and zoos), they will leave the bachelor troop. In the wild, blackbacks don't just go off and find a family of their own; they first join other males, where they learn from older ones who haven't yet found a family.
