When I go to edit my videos and upload them I alway get a kick when I get one where I hum or sing. I typically upload them months down the road so it’s always a pleasant surprise

The last ground wasp nest I came across I used my brush/weed torch on it. Took care of them in just a few minutes. You could hear the larva popping from the heat.

@@StealthMapper I was shooting one day with my brother he was about 5 ft to the right of me he fired his gun and those yellow jackets came up out of the ground at his feet in one massive mob. I think 10 to 15 minutes later hw was still being stung. They was all in his hair and all over and in his close !

I HAD TO SING THE ROCKY ANTHEM WITH HIM DUNA DUNNNN DUNA DUNNNN😂😂😂

I put a big glass pickle jar over the hole of a ground yellow jacket nest twisting it down into the ground where the neck of the jar was deep as it could go, figuring they would just fly up to top of the jar unable to figure out what was stopping them and die from exhaustion plus the heat , lack of air and the nest would starve out , it worked for several hours as there was a swarm of them at the top of jar just flying against the glass in just one spot and thought my idea would work but after a while they dug out under the rim of the jar below ground

i used brake-kleen on a yeller jacket nest before and it was instantaneous death... but i like the way the glue just keeps on working.. nice!! :)

Man those yellow jackets are bad boys. They have got me soo many times mowing the yard and a few times ginseng hunting.

(sings) meanwhile hitting the groundwith a shovel while wasps climb for their life

Customers always ask if I get stung ever. I’m always like yeah a few dozen times a summer lol you do get used to it.

Best thing I always use is Johnson and Johnson scrubbing bubbles, you can knock ‘em right out of the air while flying, and it also masks you, they can’t find you to swarm u. Just spray in air around you they can’t fly through it. It also dries clean! No residue. You should do a video with it! I’d watch it. Tip - get the spray can, it gives a continuous spray- not the trigger sprayer! You just want to hold it down not pump like a maniac!

I’ve heard of this chalk made up of microorganism fossils that cuts up the exoskeleton of insects, so perhaps it’s related to that.

Better to go after the yellow jacket nest at night when they're all in the nest vs day time when most of them are out, but yes that spray seems to be very effective. 👍😀

Just curious, isn't it better to wait for night when they're mostly all inside?

Where I used to work Hornets lived inside the hand railings. The hand railings were made from old pipes which were extremely strong but where the pipes joined there was always holes over the Hornets could come and go. I heard a complaint from one of the guys that his hand got stung. So what I did is I waited until it was dark out and sprayed WD-40 in all the holes. That stuff stinks the Hornets don't like the smell. The ones inside couldn't come out and the ones outside couldn't go back in. The Nest was so large that at night quite a few the Hornets would sleep nearby but not inside the nest. When they saw the disturbance they went over to help defend the nest but they couldn't because of the WD-40.

What is the benifit of using powder and glue over a "knock down" spray? Easier and faster with a knock down

Try Got-2-Be spiking spray hair glue. It mummafies everything.

I don't think it works as well some other products might. Some of the wasps are getting stuck, but there are still a lot who are escaping. I'm thinking something like spray foam would be better. Basically, anything that would fill the space and trap them in it. Although the nest location makes things especially difficult. So, it might not be the best test of he technique.

I’ve always used a five gallon bucket of hot soapy water down the hole at night.

Ground nest have you tried the expanding foam?

What’s the dust you’re using? Is it Seven Dust?
