The fact the Leonidas told gorgon to "come and take it" showed how much research the creators put in to character

For those who don't know, "Molon Labe!" translates to "Come and take them!". It's a reference to the Battle of Thermopylae, when the Persians ordered the Spartans to lay down their weapons and surrender, the Spartan's only response was "Come and take them!". The Greek defenders were horribly outnumbered (IIRC, the Greeks had a defensive force of several thousand, while the Persians had hundreds of thousands, possibly even over a million troops. This is why the Greek defenders chose the "Hot Gates" of Thermopylae to wage their battle, as the narrow pass robbed the Persian force of their numbers advantage, and this also played to the Spartan's strength, in their defensive Phalanx formation.

Which sounds nice but they became a vassal state of Persia in the second Peloponnesian War and helped invade the rest of Greece. They also were mostly hype. Athens regularly pushed their shit in. They were also one of the few states in history where slaves made up a super majority and they were treated brutally, so much so the rest of Greece thought it was monstrous. The Spartans had also systematized pedaresty, since Spartan men weren't allowed to get married until they were 30. So, long story short, don't put "Molon Labe" on your dually.

@@aerthreepwood8021 Sparta excelled at combat on land, Athens was better at combat by sea. Also Phillip of Macedom chose not to conquer Sparta withhis hegemony of Greece as sort of a "boogeyman" that staying together under him would keep them safe.

Even 2 star and 3 star (and some 1 stars in other scenes) servants get their moments. One of the things that make FGO great.

I thought the stars means how rare they are instead of how strong they in the story, in the game that's not the case because that's how the game works

One of the best fights of Babylonia, Leonidas and Ushiwakamaru demonstrated their great skills as warriors, Gorgon is a very powerful enemy.

And she's also a very sad and lonely woman who misses her older sisters dearly. Just look at some of her events in Chaldea in the game. Like on Valentine's day, she actually makes chocolate for Euryale & Stheno (and for Fujimaru), though she vehemently denies it and she ultimately has Fujimaru deliver the chocolate for her while making him/her promise not to tell Euryale & Stheno who *really* made it....she even says that Fujimaru could tell them that he/she made it for them instead (and also says Fujimaru can have some of it as well if he/she wishes), because Gorgon feels like she doesn't deserve to be with Euryale & Stheno after what she's done, even though she dearly loves them and wants only to spend more time with them. Though, personally, were I in Fujimaru's shoes there, I probably would have risked Gorgon turning me to stone by telling Euryale & Stheno the truth about who made the chocolate for them. Grand Order does a very good job of making Gorgon very sympathetic. So much so that I can't wait to finally have an opportunity to kick Zeus's ass for her sake. ....It also helps that I have every version of Medusa in my Chaldea (normal Medusa, Medusa Lily [Ana], & Gorgon).

@@gamester512 I love the concept of the lily characters because it assumes that they were already heroes before the tragic event that make them famous happen.

Every time i see Leonidas, this man gives me more motivation to move forward ❤️ just like how he try to step forward even he's turning to stone man.

And add to that the fact that if not for the Last Stand of the 300, the world today could have turned out drastically different. For instance, the forms of government used in countries like the US originally began to take root in Greece, and yet had Persia conquered Greece, those forms of government very likely would have been stamped out in their infant stages by Xerxes. For a man who lived so very long ago to have had such a massive impact, more-so than even Leonidas himself could likely have ever comprehended, on the future of the world, the title of "Hero" is the only one that could truly fit. I mean, just watch a documentary on the Battle of Thermopylae to see for yourself just how much of an impact the Spartan's Last Stand (though, do not forget that about 1,000 men from the other Greek City-States stayed behind to fight and die alongside the 300 Spartans) had on the world as a whole. It's incredible to consider just how much of an impact a single person can have on the fate of the entire world.

"No matter how much you resist, know that it is all futile!" "It is far from futile." Got tears in my eyes. We all knew, but couldn't articulate it, that despite the suffering that's asociated with living, life is still precious and worthwhile. And that the suffering can be transcended by adopting responsibility for your life and the lives of the people next to your shoulder. We're all Spartans by heart, we just didn't know it.

The whole show's sfx gives me goosebumps. It was done so well.

"Why he just stand there" Bro Leonidas do that for a fair reason, it's probably due to Gilgamesh suspicion about Tiamat Tiamat was supposed to be the pillar goddess in Mesopotamia so she's must be the most powerful there is in there Yet she still made a pact agreement with the other god and make 3 goddess alliance just to destroy uruk In the battle field information is a weapon, that's what Leonidas do he check on her and to his surprise he noticed that this is not the real tiamat but just a vessel that has been granted the authority of Tiamat To his knowledge Leonidas discovered that this vessel is Gorgon one of the entity from greek mythology due to how she recognizes Zeus right away and how she have that petrified eyes By sacrificing him self he gave us the chance to know who we're facing and there for we can make a counter measure on it Yet Gorgon didn't realize that, that's why as one of the veteran in warfare Ushiwaka mocked her for not noticed this

He might just be a 1star servant but what is much more important... HE HAS TAUNT! Why leonidas having taunt is important?... FOR SOLO RUN OF COURSE!

Ushiwaka and Leonidas were so damn good!

Considering that Merlin is footing the bill for Ritsuka's Har-group of servants, it makes sense he *really* doesn't want to get knocked out of the fight. Lancers always go out like badasses. Unless their name is Dirmuud.

@@massimilianoreali4398 he did mention that he really not into fight but you do see it he 1v3 tiamat son when ishtar cant even land a single hit on them and even erased chaos tide when ereshkigal cant even do anything with it.thats why He is more into supporting role rather then fighting role. So no wonder he looks weak in the anime.

@@Khann_2102 Foreshadowing Tiamat. Because Merlin is putting her to sleep. So if Gorgon turned him into stone, Merlin will lost consciousness and Tiamat will wake up.

this is why still Leonidas will be the Lancer I have the greatest respect for in FGO because despite just have a defensive NP he put real pressure on Gorgon and if it hadn't been for the Grail he would've killed her

Yo sinceramente creo que esta bien que ufo anime las lineas principales de fate. Pero para FGO creo que le vino como anillo al dedo Cloverworks, su estilo de animacion le viene muy bien para las peleas y es lo que mas se ve en esta franquicia del videojuego. Nada que reclamarle y se noto la dedicacion que le dieron y hay muchos momentos epicos en este anime

Es que las de Ufo se centran en el sentido de la justicia y es una tragedia en especial Heavens Feel pero Fate Grand Order es como dice Arthur una batalla para salvar el mundo con las posibilidades en contra por eso es que los Lostbelt y en especial Atlantis es peak de Fate
