Cutting the legs off the couch and keeping the top then adding storage below is BRILLIANT; I definitely want to remember that for my tiny house-sounds like the perfect marriage of a built-in with storage and regular comfort of a couch.

I tell them, do you see that "o" in there? It is pronounced De Bor Uh. lol I can't believe how many others with my spelling or with the "h" who mispronounce their own name! lol

The bookcase/privacy door is genius....Well actually the whole bus is very well thought out. Beautiful!

I am utterly fascinated with these van life / bus life video tours. Have been hooked on watching them for the past week. Love the metamorphosis of it all.

There are a lot of cool ideas in this build, especially the stepped up floor in the back that gives you more storage without really compromising height. Nice job.

my word!!!! this is the BEST bus conversion ever!!!! I love the door bookcase and the raising bed as well as the extra height, the frig seems to have more space than those tiny rv kind. what a creative couple!!! they need to make these and sale them.

make it a try it and see venture with an exit clause if one of you absolutely hates it you might be surprised it may end up being your husband totally sold on it after trying it out and you absolutely hating it. Anyway if your husband doesnt feel like its a forever thing just an exciting adventure he might warm to the idea. Oh and maybe dont call the bus a cutesy name ....to begin with ;))

I def will push him to try it for short trips and hopefully he likes it. The problem is he is 6'4 and feels he wont be comfortable in spaces like this BUT this schoolie has a tall ceiling. Im gonna show him this conversion today and test the waters LOL

Love the bookcase / door. And the color is gorgeous.

Your table conversion is brilliant. Ppl do a desk area AND a dining table which take up space. Knock this out of the ball park. I sooo love the lose chairs. Im Tired of seeing built ins lol. And OMG that couch. Ppl dont actually use real furniture. Its not normal to sit on a slab of wood. And you have a real couch AND storage. Girl I'm so done. Lol. Amazing. AAANNDD the bed lifts? I've seen that in one other schoolie. It went to the roof thqt they raised and turned in to a dressing room with dressers and storage. Nice!!

The level of calmness this man carries is incredible.

I'm impressed when people with no construction experience create amazing homes. I have a lot of building experience and I don't think I'd want to ever raise a roof on a bus . They did an unbelievable job

LIke how they locked everything, surprised how many tiny house travelers realize that too late, especially with dishes! Very nice job!

I like the A/C unit located on the rear. Great idea.

This is the most practical I've seen so far.

TO: THGJ: You get KUDOS for making A) such a relaxing and TOTALLY not pushy pace to your vids. Shows like Treehouse Masters feel they need to push the tempo & it feels like a sugar rush. What you did with the Poetry reading part was just f a n t a s t i c... The shots, the wind and being out there and the peace. The show is very inviting, but it's just chill. However other interviews you seem to slightly adjust the "tempo" of it according to the personality of the folks which is cool too. Rock on!

Lovely home love the desk and fridge.

Love this bus. Three things I loved the most, a real couch, granite countertops and the raising bed. Brilliant!!!

that's exactly what I want to do with a couch in my bus, take the legs off and put storage underneath. So many tiny homes build a completely custom couch, which is great in terms of fitting the space, but sometimes doesn't feel as home-y as a "normal" couch

Some really good design elements that some mass-produced rv manufacturers can take a look at, especially the bookcase/door an the actuated bed for possibly a "basement" of sorts. Well done! I really like how you two cut an raised the roofline for more storage an headroom. Go House Ravenclaw! (lol).

I would not be able to live with the HVAC unit hanging off the back...of course budgets vary, but I'd have to have a slimline roof mounted one, an also some sort of deck on the roof for stargazing. I've seen hundreds of converted busses, an this has been my favorite so far!

Janice, there's a number of videos that show people doing just that. Adding panels to the sides to strengthen the walls, remove some of the windows, etc. Have fun and good luck!
