Check out all the songs from this BBC show and don't miss "Farewell Nova Scotia"... you will get goosebumps. Thank you Gordon for 45 years of the music which is part of my DNA. Rob

I like Gordon Lightfoot In this video. Gordon’s attempts at humor, as in this video.are hilarious! Examples: his references to such Canadian phrases as “repairs”, from hockey fighting, and a “rain dance”, from the song by the Canadian Band “The Guess Who” entitled “Don’t You Want To Rain Dance”. Mostly, I Love his fantastic semi “yodel”. This is Great stuff, Gordon Lightfoot, I think that you are indeed a funny guy!

@@Mattymu I hear you! I've been enjoying all his music and live recordings here on KZread. Plus I watched the "If you could read my mind" documentary again, on CBC GEM streaming service this morning. Really recently done with a great deal of his music playing throughout. Very tactfully done. Then I watched several cover's of his songs. Some videos were of regular folk's, just sitting in their country kitchen, singing and playing with 3 guitars. I know he was 84 and he fulfilled his life dreams. Or so it seemed. It's just hard to let go even though I know it was peaceful and he was successful. Just wish he could have seen a few more years. But May Day is a pretty magical day to make you final journey. So it's appropriate for a Troubadour to make his final journey memorable on this ancient magical Celtic holiday of, Beltane! Letting the Fires take him higher. Rest in Peace and Love knowing you've blessed us with fabulous historic stories and memorable lyrics. Fair well Gordon! 💞🇨🇦🎼🎶🎸🙏🏻⚘
