J B I live in Dallas and he’s a radio personality here. He does what he calls “awkward interviews” with celebrities all the time but this one went wrong because he was too nervous. I remember listening to it in the car with my dad and all the other guys on the radio laughing at him. So yes, it was scripted but things didn’t exactly go to plan with the script...

This dude has balls. To play the awkward interviewer schtick to Galifianakis and pull it off so well takes courage and skill.

Why is it that nobody on the internet is capable of deducing when things happened relative to other things in time? This was clearly before Between Two Ferns even existed. Zach based his character on that show partly on the interviewer here.

You can literally see the lights go on behind Zach's eyes when he realises the comedy potential of this interview style.

Gordon Keith's delivery is what makes this interview so great. "Compare and contrast this film with all other films that have been made." he ends that with like a hard glottal stop so Zach's expecting more to the question.

"and this is what I have been leading up to this whole time" "Are you from North Carolina?" "No." "aaaannd I think where out of time" HAHAHAHA

Gordon Keith is on one of the top rated morning drive radio shows in the country. He's not trying to imitate Zach. Gordon has been doing uncomfortable interviews like this for the past 15 years on 1310 The Ticket, and he's a comedic genius. He thrives at making things as awkward as humany possible. Definitely one of the funniest people out there. So for those of you saying he's trying to imitate ZG and fails doing it, that's not at all what's happening.

Ok. This is the mastery. These guys know this is funny, yet can keep a straight face through it all, never breaking. That is talent. I'd be laughing my ass off the first time I said one of these things.

I just love Gordon's execution of his 'part' in this interview and of course, like a pro Zach plays off it nicely :)

This shit is GOLD! These guys should do some work together. This is great.

It seems like Zack ripped off Gordon Keith (or was it the other way around?) for his Between Two Ferns series. Its almost exactly the same format. But its funny none the less. Basically Zacking out Zack.

I have watched a lot of Keiths interviews, but this is by far the best. It's brilliant because it's Zack, who started Between Two Ferns, and plays the same awkward interviewer. But it feels like Zack really don't see he is being pranked here, and responds authenticly. That just makes it that much more amazing. Penis.

Gordo insisting on shaking the guest's hand before every interview is the most Gordon Keith thing ever. 😂 He throws the guest off immediately which sets the tone for the slow-motion train wreck that follows.

I've watched this multiple times, and every time it just slays me. The combination of the absurd questions, comic timing, and straight face is comedy perfection. Pure genius.

Cavalier Giovanni definitely. You can see the moment where he initially thinks Gordon is just an idiot, then he realizes that Gordon is actually just extremely funny. A comedian recognizing good comedy.

You can tell Zach is still unsure at the end if he's being messed with or if it's for real.

Gordon Keith has amazing composure for someone doing a ridiculously funny interview. This guy deserves an Oscar.

+Joe Schmo Pranks not the right word. It's more like improv. Zach knew what the awkward format of the show and that Gordon Keith was going to sort of troll him. They're both acting, but it's not staged.
