@@Luka1180 i worked by a dog shelter, someone used hotboiling water out side and it froze almost instantly. The cold water had more time needed to freeze. It has something to do with the big temparture differences.

@@mobamba4572 in a way she is right but not practically, cold molecules of water attract and heat up faster than warm molecules technically. But it’s like a fast car, it’s pointless getting to 20mph in 1 second if you can only go a maximum of 20mph It’s better to take 20 seconds to reach 100mph… The water heats up faster between a few degrees but that won’t help it actually become “hot” it just takes longer Obviously the warmer the water is to begin with the less energy it will take.

You’re not supposed to cook with hot water because of all the elements that break down from the water heater and in the hot water pipes. That’s why all pot filters are cold water only. The elements in the hot water effect the taste of the food. A world renown chef like Gordon should have known that.
