Gora does NOT become Brahmo at the end of the novel. Wrong information. Infact even Pareshbabu is disappointed by Brahmo samaaj behavior and he writes a letter to Samaj saying it is okay if they drop him from the samaj. When Gora goes to meet Pareshbaabu at the end he says that he can serve the country better as he is not bothered by any religion or doctrine - meaning both brahmo or hindu , muslim christian whatever. Gora is a novel which is Tagore's idea of nationalism. You are right about other aspects of women, modernity and brotherhood though.
