Hell yeah. Y'know what's really annoying, I am an XC ski instructor, ski patroller, and park ranger. Every time it comes up in conversation, someone in my family will interject and say "Oh, it's JUST cross country skiing." I've never said anything but it always annoys me. You've inspired me to get a GoPro to show them what we really do out there, because they seem to think I'm doing some kind of snail speed Tai Chi like a 200-year-old Norwegian great, great grandpa. Or maybe I'll just send them this video to blow their tiny minds.

Yes, it's great and they are really fast but on straight tracks it does not look nearly as crazy as the French Biathlon's decent in Antholz: kzread.info/dash/bejne/n2yZpdexoZzApMo.html Enjoy!

XC binding hinges are pretty weak. Often wondered if they could withstand such strong impact.

There are probably only a few people in the world who can do this. I'm learning to XC ski and feel this is a lot like riding a trials motorcycle. They make it look so easy. It isn't, and only a few people in the world can actually do it. Thanks for demonstrating your incredible skills.

Just stick with it. Lots and lots of people can ski at that level. Give it a few seasons and you'll be surprised. Make sure you get quality skate boots and skis. Huge difference.
