It’s not about joining dan and jeff. The NF isn’t exactly a run where you can be guided down. Like anything, you have to build a foundation of skills and naturally progress by pushing yourself. Dan, and most of us don’t paddle for the rush, though that is part of it, we love the river and what we can do with paddling. In that sense I wouldn’t approach paddling from the angle of an extreme sport rather that a new challenge with goals and natural progression

The biggest hazard on this river is that it's sooo continuous. If you swim in the upper section, you're going to have a very long swim. Rescue kyackers are advised when rafting.
