Dear sir, I'm Larry and I started RC Airplanes while in the Air Force and loved it. After getting out I was a remote tech for several co.s from Xerox in SF to Edward Jones in Louisiana. My kids bought me a sharper image drone and it's been fun! Became unemployed and so spending more time at home with my bride of 43 years watching other people's kids. Not what I anticipated but I believe the Lord will bless us. I started watching The RC sailors and bought an 8807hd-g which I got for Christmas and according to there recommendation. I also watch Donnie on Big drone flyer77 and now I watch you as per Donnies recommendations. Love the hobby and really like DJI products, just can't afford them. I would love to get into the filming as I filmed in California for a Church in Stockton years ago. It blows me away the small cameras and the electronics for these drones. I still like my karma. I still use it today. I have only did one update since I bought it new. Glad I never did any updates because seems all these updates made a majority of them not be able to fly anymore

My first flight was Dec. 29, 2018. (Birthday gift) Have flown it about 7 times since, lots of bad weather so limited chances to fly. It will hover in place pretty easily, some movement in winds of 10+MPH. Auto land is kind of hard, but not damaging in grass. I can manually land it better. Video and stability is over the top clear and smooth. Have used the "Dronie" function twice...wow! It quickly climbs to about 153 feet then flies right back to you. I did "orbit" once, it was okay, but I didn't set it up quite right. Battery power only 20 minutes of flight and I've already bought a "back up" battery. ($99.00) Arrived at my house in about three days. I don't like the controls/functions, but I use to fly RC aircraft years ago, so I need more training! Semper Fly, Gunny J. OUT!

you dont need to turn on the camra it will automaticly turn on when you turn on the drone

Nice first look. Some suggestions for the full review - how well does it hold position while hovering? Real world battery time? Reception range? Auto landing behavior (I've seen it do what I would call *hard* auto landings). Thanks. I like your videos.

Well, I guess further Karma testing will have to be put on hold! That's quite a bombshell Gopro just dropped. So do you now have to ship yours back?

You will get about 14 min battery life. You will need about 3-4 minutes to land. A total about 18 minutes. Battery life sucks. 90 minutes to charge 1 battery.

Heads up. It looks like the drone was recalled. I would ground it until things are resolved. I seen some of your video. It looks smooth.

Hi Kelly...Best Buy is selling the karma as a clearance sale... with the go pro harness... without the camera.. I have already the go pro camera... I am thinking of buying it.. will you recommend it... I have the DJI spark already and I am loving it... Phantom 4 is just too big.. what do you think....

What I should do, if controler say Install the camera before flying.? First time show this, and I dont know what to do.! 😣😣😣

That's a good point. I noticed they were opposite. I think that red in the back makes more sense because I think of the back (stern) as having brake lights - which would be red. Not sure why, but honestly, I wish that all quads had red lights in the rear.

Ready Set Drone

I had this drone for 3 days and it was nothing but headaches. Returned it back to bestbuy for a mavic. Best decision ever

I bought the Mavic Pro and returned it the next day, Wouldn't connect, wouldn't turn off and if your phone "times out" its very difficult to swipe again because of the way it's connected to the controller. Cost me $150 for a restocking fee at BestBuy. Called DJI customer service, it was a total circle jerk. I bought the HERO 6 version of the Karma it's way more versatile.

What is flight time??

Who like actioncamera video on a drone now in 2016 ? When you pan up and down the image get completly desorted... It would have been a great drone in 2010, and a ok drone in 2013. But for 2016 this is crap, Drifts around like a phantom 1 and even if gopro claim it to have 20min flytime its really only 12min. 14 at max if you fly really slow. Good thing they recall it and hope they come back with a drone that have sensors and not only single gps

if it came out 5 years ago it would great. Mavic has smashed this junk!!! Heavier than a p4. Shithouse battery time and it cant even hover in one place!!!!

please dont mislead people to think this drone is any good. i like gopro but this drone is crap! loud, no options, no sensors whatsoever, drop dead ugly remote, stupid settings... its just a few years behind all other drones this type. if i got it for free i would sell it without ever turning it on. p.s. please teach your son to use FOCUS, and maybe a tripod or at least a monopod
