For anyone wondering that speedy shark-like fish that keeps bumping the cage is a gafftopsail catfish, a saltwater species. Most people think of catfish as freshwater fish from slow moving waters.

If you put the video in 2X speed from 9:00 to 13:00 you can see a STARFISH following the scent in the water, going up to the cage and reach in an attempt for food! What an awsome video!

Crazy, if you slow it down and pause it at 15:16 you’ll see why they are freaking out and it’s cuz of birds! Some kinda diving sea birds that are diving for fish. One even grabs the one fish that was able to make it out.

A few friendly advices from a fellow fisherman: That entrance is very bad. It should be made of much thinner,flexible but strong steel wire knitted together into a solid netted/honeycomb structure. The entrance you use should be sealed with knitted wire and a true one should be placed where your rounded up ending is, a vertical 'slit' like entrance . It would look as you cut trough the middle of the rounded part, one cut per wire strain down the midle then you bend the ends to face each other, that way the fish can easily squeeze in, but will be unable to escape save for small specimens we don't want anyways. Edit: Like this www.patuljak.me/kes/slike/397x338/93704_1.jpg Also, a lot of fish are getting a free meal as your bait drifted to the edge of the trap. Try using a woman's nylon stocking or a sack for potatoes, those net like ones and suspend it from the middle of the trap downwards. Nice video, btw, you gave me the amazing idea to put a go pro into my own trap.
