    Thanks Jason - I never realised you could re-start a RTMP stream with a different device if you were quick enough. However, for cost reasons, I'll be sticking to a Mevo Start and an umbrella duct-taped to the stand to protect it !

    Ive been watching your videos and am getting ready for our baseball tournaments. So over ALL... Do you prefer the Mevo Start or the Gopro 10, 9, 8 for your GO To Favorite Camera to use at a Baseball game? My concern for Mevo is weather in the spring. I realize the battery time is better in the Mevo Start but you can also charge the GoPro while streaming I read. My concern for the Mevo Start is the FOV being 84 Degrees vs the GoPro being 150 Degrees I believe but the GoPro can give a fisheye look in past GoPro's. I dont know if the Fisheye look is fixed on the newer GoPro side. I know GoPro has more accessories...In All, Im confused on the better camera. haha

    Hi Jason, if streaming from GoPro through GameChanger’s RTMP link can we still film at 4K or 5k to the raw microSD card even if the live stream is at 720p or 1080p for bandwidth purposes. Essentially if the livestream is at 720p it would be ideal if the raw files going to the card could be at a much higher resolution for FinalCut Pro post production editing

    Hi Jason. I just started experimenting live streaming with a GoPro 9 through GameChanger. My first attempt resulted in glitchy and poor reception for those watching live. I’m using my unlimited Verizon Hotspot for connection. Should I be selecting 720P or can I use 1080P? Which one is best? Is my hotspot connection the reason for the glitchy and poor reception? Thanks for your feedback

    Why not look at making a weatherproof housing for your Mevo? Maybe a wooden box with a glass panel for the camera to shoot through?

  • @JasonHoffmanYT

    @JasonHoffmanYT

    A weatherproof covering will be a solution for a lot of people. Even a ziplock type bag could do the job since in the rain picture quality is compromised anyway. But I went this way because GoPro will honor the warranty if water damaged, Mevo will not.

Yes I use the pass through door plugged into external battery hanging in waterproof nylon pouch. No internal battery ( keeps it cooler I’m told) I had aftermarket pass through door but got official go pro one when it was released it’s little better.
