Colbert usually goes all out with his McConnell "looks like" jokes but I felt he was kinder this time as Mitch was a victim of Trump's death threat and racist words towards his wife. Also, the crowd didn't instantly boo McConnell's picture (as they usually do) as they already knew about the news.

If Governor De Santis had not requested federal aid, what would you be saying? By the way, he voted against the Hurricane Sandy package because it was loaded up with pork-barrel spending that had nothing to do with the needed relief, and would have been a big benefit to the Politicians who wanted the package passed. To be fair, those guys cheating in the fishing is a huge disgrace. Those fisherman have been suspected of cheating for years. They even filed a defamation suit for being accused. Also, they won over 300k and a new boat last season while presumably cheating. Not only was it disrespectful to fellow competitors, but from a wildlife standpoint it was very disrespectful to the fish. Just picture them wrapping lead weights in fish fillets, then forcing them down the neck with pliers. They ought to be in jail.

Of registered voters in Florida, only 36% are republicans vs 64% who are not. There are almost as many registered democrats at 34%, 28% no affiliation, and 2% minor parties. So please stop acting like Florida is mostly republican. It’s not!
