I didn't even notice that when making the video, since it happened so fast. My guess is maybe there was some kind of chemical on that strut tower bolt, or maybe there was something on the actual copper of the jumper clamp itself. After the car started, the power coming from the clamps made a smoke show. I really don't know, just guessing. Good eye. Thanks for the comment

Hi, did you ever replace your unit when you did the cold testing and did it work?

We did get the new unit but we haven't tested it in the freezer yet. I am confident that our original GT4000 was a defective unit, but we will know for sure very soon. Thanks for the comment

We did test the new unit, and the preheat technology works perfectly in the GT4000, so we obviously had a defective unit before. I have had a few different viewers tell me that their GT4000 did the same thing our defective unit did, so I was curious to test another unit to see. As with all products, there are quite a few defective units out there. I guess some units slip through the cracks in production. I am always going to post my experience with a product, defective or not, because that's what a real reviewer is supposed to do. If a company (Not Gooloo) had many defective units out there, a video like mine would spread awareness to be careful about buying a certain product. But as I have said many times before, Gooloo is an outstanding company and makes great portable jump starters. We thought it was a defective unit, but we wanted to make sure before we said anything. If you know our channel, we will never outright bash a company unless the product is not worth buying because that's the whole point of our channel. We show you the products to buy, and the products to stay away from. Hope you have a Happy Holiday
