Dear CloudBik, thank you for the tutorial, however I have questions in hopes of you being able to answer them 1. We are going to be slowly transitioning users from Google workspace to Microsoft 365, therefore I have created two subdomains that will help route emails between G workspace and O365, In order to completely achieve this, I will also have to go to Exchange admin center > Contact> Add a mail user, and then in there add subdomain for Google workspace in the external address. My question is, since we already have these existing users in O365 with no mailboxes, the reason why they were using MS accounts is to access partner sharepoints, so if we perform Migration Batch and add the same email addresses of these user accounts in the CSV file, will the existing accounts get deleted and replaced with newly created ones or are the mailboxes going to be created for the existing users ? Thank you!

Doing this, you will stop receiving emails in Google Workspace.

Thanks so much for this video, it helped me a lot already. So in the prereqs on the microsoft page with instructions there is a lot of talking about subdomains, you are skipping those steps. Is that not necessary?

Thanks, I have migrated all emails from gsuite. In the batch view, my migrated capacity is larger than the mailbox quota of the user I view in the admin. Is this due to other 365 hosting or is it because my mail is missing?

it may be because both the platforms are different and have different size calculations.

Hi, how about if I want to create another batch ? because I migrated partial email users per batch. should I create project, IAM role, service account or prerequisite on Google ? on Migration Endpoint and client ID, should I create new for new batch ? or I can use existing configuration on Google and migration endpoint when add new batch? You can use the previous one. No need to create new project.

No, you will receive and sent new emails from Google Workspace until you change MX records.

which option to select(among other 3) when we don't have the cloudfare option? to verify the domain from google workspace

You can choose any of the option. If you want to add manual text record, then choose the second option. If you want to add a txt file on the root of your website then choose the fourth option. It will provide a txt file that you need to upload.

Hello! Thanks for the tutorial. I followed your steps and started the migration, suddenly after a couple of hours, migration status was failed, and error message was "couldn't use the primary address as the forwarding address, please select a different target delivery domain. What should I do with this batch?

We have not followed the subdomain method, that is why this error occurs. It is not an issue. Make sure all the data has been migrated successfully.

help me now i have a problem? When I configure the subdomain forwardemail. Email forwards directly to 365 and does not save a copy on google workspace. How do I make it save a copy and then forward?

You will start receiving the email to Microsoft Outlook once the MX records have been pointed to Microsoft.

Sorry, I have several questions related to the migration that you teach in this video, or anyone who is an expert, please answer. The first is that I will migrate around 80 email users, is it enough to just use 1 batch or do I need to make several batches, the second question is whether it is mandatory or do I have to add a sub domain in this migration process, if I don't add it will it cause migration failure? And the last question in my office is that there are 3 different categories of email users because of their level of use, the first user will be given a premium license, the second will be given a standard license and the third will be given a basic license, the question is how to give a license to an account with a different license as mentioned above. I have explained, do you have to create 3 admin accounts in the Microsoft admin center to give licenses to users with different account licenses? Hello. Below are the answers to your queries. 1. One migration batch is enough. No need to create multiple batches. 2. Addition of sub-domain is not required. Migration will proceed without sub domain. 3. No need to add multiple admins. You can create one admin account and when assigning license, you can choose which one to assign to user. I did the migration and everything went well. The first time I had a problem with authentication, it showed an authorization failure error, but then it synchronized perfectly. The doubt is that most of the mailboxes migrated to Office365 don't have the same size as the mailbox in G-Suite, for example: G-Suite mailbox size 30GB and in Office365 27GB. Do you know why this has happened? Is it normal?

May be some files are skipped due to incompatibility of the platform. You can resync the migration batch for remaining data if any.
