It's better if it's a computer where you have everything and you can do it your way. Google TV forces you to use what they want, not what you want

I personally use the ONN streaming and I'm pretty sure that's powered by Google TV and I'm enjoying it very much

Onn Google TV is slow compared to Onn Android TV

I didn't realize until recently that a Fire TV remote can be used with an Onn device. That makes the Onn 4K Pro even better for me.

I have 3 shields in the house and 1 I take on the go for work so for me android. Also have 2 chromecasts they work as they should. No issues.

this video could not come at a better time. I have a tv with android tv built in but noticed it seems to be getting slow. Not sure if its just the remote needs new batteries or the tv is slowing down. But i have Chromecast 4k on every other tv in the house. So may get a chromecast 4k for the tv with android tv built in as it may preform better But this gives me a better understanding.

Why not just hook up an android box ... 4Gb/32Gb or maybe a 64Gb storage box ... put your own custom launcher on it ..... a few apps and you have it setup to your own liking rather than some corporate setup. You can have the apps set up the way you like and a custom wallpaper ..... it never interfaces with the GoogleTV set up. Works for me.

Nice job. Google TV is surprisingly awesome. In the Apps Only mode, you get Roku-like simplicity, with a few superior apps. I still prefer custom launchers, though. Just ordered a Google TV, and I'm excited.

Returned that Google TV. The colors and the functionality were inferior to what I get with the Onn 4K Pro.

Hi folks, just to know before I buy the new Tv : if there’s GOOGLE TV in it instead ANDROID Tv, I will not be stuck like in a SMART TV where I cannot more than few choices of apps ? What about the IPTV apps ? Can someone confirm that there is a huge choice of apps please ?

my tcl rolled out google tv right now its good

The Google TV processor is excellent, however it seems like if we migrate away from Android TV we'll end up with a censoring advertisement machine in our living rooms... I expect that eventually every time you turn on a Google TV it will start up with personally picked ads with "BUY IT NOW" buttons. All the ad free apps have shifted and now make you pay for them to be ad free.

They both have ads. They could do stuff with both of them. If it gets bad they don't stop you from using a custom launcher

I have Google TV on my Hisense TV and I also have an Nvidia ShIeld. I have seen more problems with Google than Nvidia in my opinion. Google will lock up and I have to reboot to get it to respond again. It also will sometimes just kick me out of a program I am watching and go back to the Home Screen. I also have a Firestick 4K and Roku devices that seem to work better than Google. Anyway that’s my experience?

That Firestick is most likely what's been kicking you out of programs mid stream. It's a well known long term issue.

Android tv supports mod apks. No problem. Just off play protect.

Google tv doesnt do ESPN local in the Netherlands its the US app and i cant login with my ESPN account.. on Android tv it does.

Before i had Google TV, i saw other people having it. Then i got Google TV. I loved it. The UI. It was amazing. Now i do have Android TV in my bedroom TV, Now Google TV is in my living room (which is close to my bedroom) and no i'm not using my Android TV always (unlike you android tv fans) so yeah i have nothing to type right now so bye

Vhs movies taking over Disney plus internet now days y vhs tapes don't stop playing at all plus people are fixing their vhs tapes with Scotch tape it starts playing again with out no problem's everything proven vhs tapes don't have to get updated at all like your phone does and computer does now days
