It must make it easier to mix or edit. Maybe there’s a limit of 4 mics on the setup they’re using. Lots of possible technical limitations. Or it could just be that Adam and Ellis like sharing the producer mic?

Google search is mentioned a couple of times and if anything they bring up how searching in general is changing with AI specifically with search in Google Photos.

It's been gone for years at this point. At least now I actually receive the information I need from a search

I actually work for a contractor who’s on their Google Photos annotation project. What you’re speaking of is exactly the type of training we’re doing on that particular platform.

And for some reason all of the speakers were begging for applause. It was painful to watch.

Bing I suppose.. It ironically directed me to a fake Chrome page many many years ago. That or Yandex. The only search you actually hear about outside of the ones everybody uses, even though there are actually others.

My company switched to Google Cloud a few years ago because they got a cheaper deal than from AWS. After dealing with GCP since 2021, Google is playing catch up on multiple fronts 😂

I think that technology in general just settles down waiting for a new big think, and I'm not sure if AI at the current state is that thing. It is impressive for sure, incredible and useful, but it is just floating around our current tech

The "AR" glasses were the only interesting part, and they weren't really acknowledged. For the whole 2nd part of IO, I thought they were going to do Apple-like "One more thing" and actually announce Glass 2 (or knowing Google: "Goole AI Glass with Gemini Assistant powered by Gemini Pro 1.5"). There were not enough leaks for me to believe they would come out now, but at least a full teaser like they did with the Pixel Tablet a couple of years ago, with more detail later.

Generative AI is at least poor in S23 gallery. I hardly get results while editing pics for 40- 50 %; rest of the time it will get stuck in between somewhere. and Then error.

I just can't use Google Photos. I hate any interface used on Google Apps. It just doesn't click with me. It is a genuine unintuitive mess. Using Google's apps in an anxiety inducing trip. The thought that they're all connected to the internet all the time is also a but creepy and battery draining.
