Is it reasonable to assume that Google photos can now use the context of our images to answer direct questions about us? And then use that context to align direct marketing partners to put their content right in front of our eyes. Or maybe other things that may be more or less nefarious like certain NSA agency needs? - this is the literal framework required to build the God's eye like in movies. Imagine this power in the hands of bad actors? 😲 And we must consider that we can't say 'this will never be compromised'... Because we know It's always just a matter of time.

It's reasonable to assume that it is possible. Is it reasonable to assume that it is feasible or efficient? I think that's a couple of years in the future, when we'll have more efficient models and more dedicated servers. Using such a huge models on such large scale data mining tasks is just overkill. The same can be done with more light weight models, and it's been done for years now. (Just look at how Google Photos can automatically find your pictures about cats, landscapes, etc.)

@@GergelyGyurics I think you are underestimating how much info Google already has about us. Say for instance if we're an android phone user that uses chrome as a primary browser ... Adding info from photos/camera is probably just icing on the cake. This user is known to take pictures of guitar and views guitar videos on KZread. Instant product alignment, but now they just have additional vectors. It makes sense for that to be collected, and it's in the TOS that they can do it.

I see some of this being pretty cool and useful. Lets see how Google executes. They can't afford to mess up when multiple companies doing great progress specially Open AI

These applications are very exciting but I can't help but wonder what's in it for Google. I guess in the end it's incredibly customised user profiles by analysing tons of personal data, allowing even more targeted advertisment OR selling AI Overview recommendations to the highest bidder (like they do with search tags right now) so a restaurant can bid to show up in your holiday plan. I'd be happy to be wrong about this. Let me know if I'm missing something or if you disagree with me.

chatGPT 4o îs a trim version of chatGPT 4, and its focused on chat. Gpt 4o has less parameters than gpt 4 (thats why îs faster), has tokens from oct 2023 (while gpt 4 from dec 2023) and only one dedicated module (for chat), while gpt 4 has 8 dedicated modules.

I have a feeling most people think google is behind in AI. Sure OpenAI release chatGPT first but that is just one part of AI there are many more and in some area Google is the sole player. Not to mention since then google has catch up and right now gemini is just as powerful if not straight out better than chatGPT.

Gogle says compute power to 10x every year then immediately celebrates a chip that is 4.7x... Seems like falling behind to me by 5.3x per year.

Stephen Wolfram may sound like word soup, but his "computationally irreducible" stuff is spot on. We can't cheat the ZK universe and derive the computational primitives. @@tpejuice Did you watch the full simulation video on his website yo? I REALLY hope they emulated specific particle densities along with the opposing forces. But they didn't provide ANY math that they used to calculate the particle effects over each frame in Blender which is a huge mistake.... Like if that is really an accurate physics simulation we need to see the evidence because it would truly be groundbreaking and worth at least a few great minds' time.

Googles business is/was search and advertising, A.I will disrupt that thus the `inventors dilemma` (It describes how large incumbent companies lose market share by listening to their customers and providing what appears to be the highest-value products, but new companies that serve low-value customers with poorly developed technology can improve that technology incrementally until it is good enough to quickly take market share from established business.) and Google slowed underfunded its research, its now playing catch up however its a serious player.

It is uncertain whether Google will acquire ChatGPT, but both platforms offer outstanding tools that enhance efficiency and simplify tasks. This advancement can be seen as Human 2.0

I doubt they will. Microsoft is about to throw their wallet at GPT like they did with Activision after this lol. Google won't be willing to spend that much when it would mostly be integration. On top of that, Microsoft has already integrated GPT 4 with Copilot and dropped it like a year ago so all they have to do is throw money at them to keep their spot. Once acquired there will be the big three again just like tech has been for like 20 years.
