Great comparison. I feel the iPhone excels in extreme low-light videos. Pixel is surprisingly similar to iPhone in daytime videos. Photos are generally better on Pixel.

Very good comparison. Thanks for taking the time to make it. Observations. Overall, I think the Pixel 8 pro has cleaner and more detailed and better coloring video/photos. Three distinct disadvantages Pixel 8 pro has: 1. The zoom in and out, is janky at the transition points. 2. Filming at extreme darkness, you don't see much detail of anything. 3. It gets extremely hot during filming whether you're in the sun or not and it drops the frames and dims the screen way below its projected industry high of 2400 knits, which is woeful because Google and alot of other reviewers brag about it being so bright when in reality, if it gets just a bit hot, it dims down way below the competition. I find this frustrating as you can't see as easily and it seems to impair the processer to not run as fluid. By the way, I've been a Pixel fan for years and my experience is they all have done that so it's very consistent with Google, nothing really has changed with Google's hardware reactions to the above points, except now their screen is brighter under super ideal conditions when it's cool and not taxed under use, otherwise it gets real dim the minute it gets a little warm. Ugh. As mentioned, when you had the video footage at the very beginning of your post of the iphone side by side, it was clear to me the Pixel 8 pro was cleaner and more detailed in day and night, and I was quite impressed. Overall, most reviewers automatically say the iPhone is way, way better, but I'm not seeing that. What I am seeing is exactly what you just posted. Great job!

It's wild to hear people calling yellowish/greenish tint natural. I'd pick a Pixel phone for snapping photos over everything else, any day.

This is an incredible video!!!

One thing i liked about the pixel is when video in low light pixel easily using telefoto lens while iphone struggling

Can't understand your results. My Son has an Iphone 15 pro max and I have a pixel 8 Pro and we did a comparison on both phones and in our comparison the Iphone had the darker scenes. We both preferred the pixel video results@@Lens_Addict

@@NatureBoy12100 Not what I saw in my testing. Go somewhere really dark, where it's just moonlight and you will see the pixel struggles.

Too big of a price gap. A more similar comparison would be the iPhone SE vs. the Pixel 8. iPhone Pro is same price as Pixel 8 Pro.
