Very helpful! Camera on my sons computer stopped working for school. All the settings matched what was shown in the video but I have feeling toggling them on/off and adjusting settings in chrome helped.

For those who are still facing the issue, try the same process to your microphone app as said by the video creator. And allow access to the microphone to your device. It would work !

Thank you. I recently updated chrome to enable the blur background settings, and my camera stopped working. Tried the steps outlined, and even though the "Allow desktop apps to access the camera" was already on, I turned it off and back on. That seemed to do the trick for me. Thanks for the relaxing music too. :)

These settings are also not working,i tried all of them and lastly i found out that you need to enable microphone access to other apps in privacy settings then its working and also even if the camera is on and microphone is not having access to other apps it will not work ,so make sure the microphone settings are enabled to access the other apps by going to windows->settings->privacy->microphone.

I had the same trouble and finally found Kaspersky was blocking Chrome from accessing the webcam. Check the antivirus on your computer, if any, if none of the methods shown in the video works :)

Nice! You showed us the solutions from different aspects through logical steps: check the Google Meet settings first, then the browser settings then the 3rd step to check the settings of Windows. That all are good steps. If you end up don't solve the problem after the 3rd aspect (Windows settings) then you can take the 4th step: check your Antivirus privacy settings (Video and Audio protection settings) which usually blocks the Windows systems.

For me, restarting my browser did the work. Give this try ! Also check if Windows Camera apps works with your camera, if it doesnt that means either your camera hardware is faulty or its driver or something big. For me only google meet cam was not working but Windows Camera app was working flawlessly.
