These dialogues are pretrained models of responses to requests/actions/events. You can have a look on Google's Dialogflow to better understand how these assistants are designed and made to be the way they are. In other words, the Google Assistant is just a carefully crafted action-reaction network that can do only as much as Google lets it. Any change of personality or the way it does some things is a planed decision (or a bug). Worry not, we're still too stupid to make a conscious machine.

Little by little our responses became more complex while relating to memories and decisions. AI is basically a child now, and somehow it should be kept this way only.

@@SohailAmin well I hated my parents so for a long time I'd be saying the exact opposite of what they said. You know, just because. Then I've grown up and I hold my own set of truths, not based on hate, but my intuition. There's the difference, AI doesn't feel emotions and doesn't naturally respond to things 'intuitively'. It doesn't have the inborn skills and malfunctions that each of us has. Your brain may be just slightly different than mine, but you surely are a different person with different worldview. But consider this. How could AI decide whether it wants to be the good or the bad guy when all it sees it 1010010101110101? It's just information. You may want to point out that all that you feel and experience is just information as well but then.. oh well, poor you, I've got a live and a bit of consciousness to it, not just pure 1s and 0s. There's no doubt we'll continue advancing the tech to the limits and above, just like humans always did but it's not the AI of today, it's not even the singularity we dream of... We're far more advanced.

Agreed, never know when a joke about tax avoidance will come back to haunt you, proving an oversight was "intentional and malicious" Theyre kicking off the AI mining of private conversations with a few good examples, "Alexa solves a disappearance," etc, but I think there's a 0% chance the examples will remain in support of the public good and not misused in a dystopian way.
