Very helpful! Thank you. One question, How do you link data to prefill multiple check boxes, for example if you wanted to prefill the "Define the Problem" from a previous questionnaire? I can do it for a single entry but not multiple checks in the same question.

Hey Craig thank you for a great tutorial - is there a way to use an Arrayformula or something else to fill down the PreFilled links automatically on data entry rather than to have to drag it down manually every time?

I haven't tried that, but could beneficial. I usually just double click the mouse when it turns into a plus sign and it copies the formula all the way down.

How can we automatically copy this hyperlink to each 'response row' we are getting while submitting a google form?

Hi Craig, great video - thank you! Can you help me with pre-filling the date? For some reason my dates (e.g. birth date) isn't pre-filling. I've tried changing the date format (e.g. yyyy-mm-dd, dd-mm-yyyy etc.) in the sheet but am not having any luck with that pushing through to the form.... Thanks in advance :)

Hi, thanks so much for this video. My link looks the same, but get an error (Formula Parse Error) when I paste it into the Google Sheet. It says the error is in the "//" in the "" (in red) part of the URL. When I check the form, the pre-filled sections show a quotation (") mark. Any thoughts? Thanks

Depends on who all you want to see the data in the spreadsheet. You can share the spreadsheet as view only or if it's sensitive info then I copy and paste each person's section and send it to them individually

Hello Craig, I hope this comment finds you well after 2 years of your post. Is it possible to auto-refresh the link to update the pre-filled Form? I.e. i have a formula in my "&&" reference picking up the MAX() of an array of values in a column. It pre-fills the "START" Form input, and the user needs to fill in the "END" figure. This new "END" number will the replace the previous MAX() in the "&&" reference for the next time the Form is filled in. Thus, every time the Form is opened, the latest MAX() number is prefilled into the Form, without copying the link again and mailing it out.

You can use some custome aplication to make that unique prefilled accessible, example kzread.info/dash/bejne/e4qc1KqYfbnepdY.html

Hello Craig, Let’s say you have thousands and thousands of records of students. Is it possible to get the prefilled link based on the ID? Example: if the user entered ID “111111” on section A and then Section B would show the name, course, teacher etc….? Perhaps a script would make it possible? Thank you!

Are you using Excel? Try using Google Sheets.

Don't know. I've never used Microsoft forms before.

It seems like it would be great, but each time you submit, it would add another row in the Form tab. Things can get cluttered. Any work around for this? Maybe a script to delete the previous form information?

It will add a new row to the responses spreadsheet. The spreadsheet with the prefilled links is different.

How to make an information/answer that has already filled in the pre-filled, can not be edited in the view form or real form?

Sorry, but I don't know a way to lock that in and prevent responders from editing prefilled answers. You could leave those answers off then merge the 2 spreadsheets afterwards.
