Hello SEOs, welcome back to another video! Today we're talking all about Google Business Profiles and the role they play in Squarespace SEO. If you have a Squarespace website for your business (whether you sell products or offer services, either in person or online), then odds are you care about local SEO (meaning that you show up high in online search results when people are looking for your offerings near them).
Setting up a Google Business Profile and optimizing it for SEO will help you show up higher in online search results, display your business on a map view, and show customer reviews which builds trust is your business.

Hi @Charlotte. Great video - thanks. When setting up a Google Business profile then what about we-based businesses? I don't really want to show my home address as I don't have business visitors. How do I handle this?

Great question Louisa! Ok so Google Business isn't really intended for web-based businesses that don't see clients in person - remember its purpose is to help out people doing online searches for LOCAL SEO. Here's what Google Business says on their website : "Yes, you can have a profile if your business doesn’t have a physical address as long as you make in-person contact with customers. You can also have a profile if you’re a hybrid business that serves customers at your business address and visits or delivers directly to customers. You may also have a profile if you’re a service-area business that visits or delivers to customers directly, but doesn't serve customers at its business address, like a plumber or cleaning service." Can you please help me step by step how to connect my new Squarespace website to my existing Google Business.SIte that is closing by tomorrow. I am not knowledgeable about websites etc..totally a NEW BEGINNER. I know i need to link them together, but confused of how go about to do it? PLEASE HELP!

I'm an online only shop, and i have enabled reviews on my website. Is there any way to link those to the Google profile?

Hmmm I'm not sure if you can automatically pull reviews on your website over to your Google Business Profile, Google might be able to tell you and if so, give you proper instructions :)
Once we've created the Google Business, do we need to take action on the Squarespace website to amplify it in any way?
