You've inspired the creation of a new item for my players. A broken scrying orb that doesn't let you pick who it looks in on and just shows moments like this.

Okay but could you imagine a group of adventurers sneaking up and hearing one of these conversations 😂

Beautiful, I love it. Be prepared to come up with A LOT of special moments. (Maybe make it a one a day feature)
Of all the videos and shorts you have posted (which I have loved by the way), this - THIS - is what earned my subscription.
This gives me 2008 youtube vibes. I love it!
This is fantastic. This is art.
This may have just replaced 10 Ways Link Can Make it up to that Divine Beast on His Own as my new favorite cloaca-related comedy video.
GODDAMMNIT, CLARENCE!
Did you clean the halls minion? Uh no, it was too dirty and full of skeletons. What did I tell you about cleaning! You are suppose to just realease the gel cube and comeback after an hour!
Bro, that went full circle. Kudos.
This video is absolutely BONKERS
Well, now my "serious, behind-the-scenes, recap campaign" is gonna go in a whole new direction. 😂
This was amazing, i need more! Get back to work and make MORE longs, yeeeeaaaasssss more loooongs.
Damn fine comedy, I should have seen the end coming. Great job.
I was really hoping all the build up to the first punchline would be worth it. SO WORTH IT "we do have cloacas" ROFL
What a wonderful way to come full circle!
So entertaining 😂 Thanks for the video. This format is great

Lol, it was fun! Like it was a nice little break with some slapstick humor. If you want to do more, I will support you and watch them. (This is in response to your short that brought me here asking whether you should make more or not).

Truly captivating Smite Gameplay, keep it up!
😂 I could go for another 8 and 1/2 minutes of this.
The first one makes me want to do a story in which the wanna be heroes ended up being villains by mistake. Due to a lack of language comprehension.
Hey Cinder, I was wondering how a mortician background would work? I have a character named Phineas proper pots he's a necromancer, and the idea is instead of edgy or evil. He wonders around, teaching people how to properly bury the dead by demistration of necromancy. Might add college of spirits. For a helpful spirit or something?
I enjoyed it
I stand with Bonkers Butt guy
Nice. Fun.

Funny stuff!
I definitely wanna see more of these. I think being just a hair more serious would be fun. Maybe it was just all the butt stuff, LOL. The dragon Khloe a good joke is a funny one though I like that and I like to call back.
Who else followed the hair to the title?
This was bonkerss
Question: How would you recommend minimizing the amount of goofy scenarios in a campaign? I know jokes are a part of the game and can help break tension, but I think there are times to avoid them. For instance, I'm gonna be running a more serious toned campaign in a horror setting, and I don't think it'll be as impactful in the horror elements if the players are cracking jokes every few minutes. I think that jokes are inevitable and I want my players to have fun without taking away from the setting.
Hey cinder I need help I want to make a homebrew of a giant grab that's a wizard but can only use spells that have something to do with water or the other forms of water, what are some spells I could reflavor to fit that criteria??
Hey Cinder! Would love your advice: TLDR: My party got overwhelmed and surrounded by undead (unintentionally due to repeated scheduling issues it happened just in time for Halloween!). To give them a way out of a pretty clear TPK, I had the infernal wraith commander offer to spare them as long as they swear their lives and afterlives to him and his master. Asking the players out of the game post-session, after recovering from the stress, they are now excited to play a spooky campaign with corrupted versions of their characters and see how the corruption manifests and what powers they get. This is not how I expected this trap/puzzle room to go, so I have to rewrite a ton of my campaign. Any suggestions about how corruption can work both mechanically and roleplay-wise? What powers can I give them at level 5 and how could they develop? /TLDR I'm also proud of my homebrew trap/puzzle room so I'll just leave it here if anybody likes it: The party walks into a large cavern filled with mounds of bones. If disturbed, the bones spawn skeletons and skeletal minotaurs (minotaurs and other kinds of skeleton areas clearly seen as different and more monstrous or evil). There are intertwining paths through these mounds that are clear of bones allowing for safe passage to the two open gates at the other end of the chamber. To tempt the party off the paths, there are treasures and magic items topping the various mounds. The cavern is attended by several ghouls who gather bones here from all around ancient battlefields. The party, if sneaky, might observe that skeletons spawn from ghouls moving on the mounds, but seem chill with the ghouls and stand around aimlessly until eventually falling apart back into the mounds. If the skeletons move, skeletons spawn in its wake as more bones are disturbed. If detect magic is used, the caster would sense necromantic energy emanating from the two gates. It doesn't seem to pass through stone so boulders in the cavern cast shadows within which skeletons don't spawn. The party failed to prevent one of the ghouls from running through one of the gates and sounding the alarm. Instead of preparing for the eventual return of a greater force, they fully commited to treasure hunting and were doing pretty well at suppressing the outbreaks of skeletons. They discovered the necromantic energy and how shadows work and they also learned to step gingerly as they approach treasures. However, it did not occur to them to create more obstructions blocking the energy or even simply shut the gates which would have allowed them to move freely around the cavern. The hammer weilding paladin in particular was feeling pretty cocky. After giving them nearly 10 in-game minutes to explore the cavern in relative peace, I eventually had to enact consequences for them ignoring the ticking clock: in the form of a reasonable gang of ghouls and ghasts. On their own, that would have been a medium-level encounter, but the sprinting whooping ghouls set off the cascade of skeletons who set off more skeletons until there were 50+ undead swarming the party(I made them melee only because I was trying to be nice). I fully expected the party to either smash them early on (now that they knew how the room worked) or to realize what is about to happen and book it for the exit carrying their loot. But they were indecisive about running even as I heavily telegraphed something worse coming behind the ghouls for many rounds. Eventually the wraith commander and his specters showed up and they had to deal or die. I took to heart your video about warning players repeatedly before consequences and I heavily telegraphed things. I even refered to that cavern as the Death Cave all the time. But here we are. This was supposed to be a lore heavy side-quest, but now it has changed the paradigm of the whole campaign. -first time DM, running most weeks for almost a year now.

I didn't read past the first paragraph. but if the players are all down to do evil campaign stuff, give them some evil powers. animate dead, inflict wounds, that sort of thing. if the players are not down to do evil stuff, I would make sure they understood that this was something they could fight back against and potentially overcome.
Random question. But, how would one implement a omnitrix on dnd? Would it work lika a druid but have a turn base timer instead of ending by damage the transformations? Also would it be able to scan and transform in to diferent creatures?
Hey Cinder. I have a question where the answer probably isn't "talk to your players/dm". I am a fairly new DM, and currently an NPC integral to the story is traveling with the party. I don't want the NPC to lead the party, I think it important that they feel agency and not that I am leading them by the nose in the direction I want them to go. So I have been playing very passively with the NPC and she is mostly just quiet. I feel this makes her seem uninteresting and lacking personality. How can I make the character more interesting without inserting my own will too much? Most of the players are very new to dnd as well which makes it even harder.

Generally NPCs should be only there short-term, there to complete a specific goal. Your characters’ goals should be what is leading them towards the plot lines you have planned
Cloacas are bird butts so dragons have butts
Hey, Cinder! Would appreciate your advice: Im a player, weve been playing over 2 years now and we are approximately in the last third of the campaign. Its getting really rich on lore and plotlines are all coming together. I noticed quite often i get so obsessed with "resolving" mysteries and connecting dots, so I start metagaming. We have a massive Miro board where we put all the loredrops and connect pieces of info. And sometimes i realize smt in the middle of the game and just cant help to not comment it aloud, although my character wouldnt know some info. It also results in me "reminding"something to other characters, wich is annoying. It feels too much now, but i struggle to stop. Any advice on how to avoid metagaming, without loosing this emotional connection and gamble? Thank you!
Oh look a long.

Well done. You know Urza is my favorite MTG lore character I've made several decks (mostly Azorius Prison or Aggrofacts) using him so that actually made me smile on a day when I have nearly come to blows with my own creator and wanted to set fire to Reddit/Deviant Bureaucratic jargons not to mention had a full mind melting moment where i realized I began life as Anarchist and am now an Authority.
