The dog was gettin down, and doin the boogie.

It used to be I could get him to do what I wanted with a single word or the wave of my hand. NOW it seems I do what he wants, how he wants it, when he wants it. He has me wrapped around his paw. An absolutely wonderful companion, and a very loving friend.

Reminds me of my boxer ''Benji''. He was a spitting image of the boxer in this video.. Benji died a year ago and I still cry at times.Intensity of the grief remains the same.My psychologist told me ,''Thats what dogs are meant to do'', ''Be with u all the time and be goofy'' and told me to get over it, But it is really hard. I look up the sky at night times every night and see the brightest star and think of Benji.

So playful and cheeky! What a sweet, Little dog. Boxers are great fun, always in the mood for some antics! ;-)

i click on this at least once a day as it always makes me LOL. That dog is looking right at you, just daring you to take its toy and give it a reason to play. Cheeky imp of a dog can't help but make you smile. I've known a few Boxers and this is true to form. They're great dogs, and I wish I could have one.

His name is Cochise Magnus. I actually call him Junior...

Every boxer has the ability to make any person laugh, even a villain. Even Skeletor would laugh while watching this video.

With a boxer, if they don't listen you have to physically move them (or shoo them) off the bed. Otherwise, like what's happened here, it becomes a game. Also, if you stand there and repeat yourself while recording (and possibly someone smiling or laughing at it) you're turning it into a show. Being entertaining and making people laugh sometimes take precedent over obedience for a young boxer. Say it once firmly, then if he doesn't move, move him. If this is a regular problem, you might consider keeping him off furniture for a while until he gets it. Its important that he learns to respect his pet parents. It's dangerous for him to not listen to you (especially about moving somewhere quickly). So, don''t feel bad for correcting it. Beautiful dog.

Sort of kind of. They associate certain objects with certain activities. Probably the boxer is used to having a phone pointed at them as an invitation to goof off.

M R dogs respond to your tone facial expressions as babies do, so if your talking while laughing or in a "sweet voice" they'll think everything is ok and they're good, while if you speak firmly they understand you're angry/upset

I agree. I know someone who had a boxer who used to behave a little like this on furniture. They rehomed him in the end as he became aggressive towards them and they didn't know what to do. They have since learnt that this is funny for us but it just encourages bad behaviour from the dog in the long run

Boxers are great. But you do need to take care of their energetic personality. Discipline is important - being angry is usually not constructive. Being firm and consistent will help a boxer know it's limits. And of course a lot of love! Make sure you take time to snuggle with them...

My boxer Sophie use to do this..she was my bestfriend, been there for me since I was 2 years old... ): she died in 2010 and I was literally so distraught, but I loved that dog with all my heart! Boxers are the best!!!

Thankyou :/ I know right, that's why my family always had boxers. It'll be very hard when that tragic time comes, but the memories live on forever, and he'll be around.. You might not be able to see him, but he'll always be protecting you all.

Every time he barked I heard a deep bass "nope" adorable.

"Look at me! I'm so frisky and funny, that I don't have to get off the bed. I get my way from cuteness!" (Boxer thoughts)

So cute and you can hear the laughter in your wife's voice when she says "get down". No wonder he doesn't listen lol.

love it too, makes me smile reminds me of when my old man was a,pup like that.

I am very sorry for your loss. Boxers are more like children that never grow up and they are just unending sources of love. I know that Cochise (I call him Junior) is very dear to me, my wife, and his mate Sierra and I truly dread the day we lose him.

I never get bored of it

So that's why my housemate's boxer would never listen to me. This one's adorable. It's like he's playing that repeat everything mom says game.

The Boxer in this video (his name is Cochise but I call him Junior) has grown up and still does this on the bed and we actually love it. He has one other "quirk". He loves to rip basketballs apart. I buy him a new one every week and he loves to rip it to pieces. We have two boxers (one boy and one girl) and they are amazing!

I have a 11 week boxer pup and it reminded me exactly of this dog. They can be the bestest cutest dogs in the world but then the next minute your so frustrated with them you could (and do) scream...Maybe it's the whole pup thing. I hope

Thats true, mine listens only when I mean it, they are so smart. My boxer does this same little dance on the bed when he wants to play and he wants to get attentions lol

Also it's so funny, because my dog can behave like this (he's not a boxer) and the more he can hear me trying not to laugh, the more goofy he gets. However, if I'm not in the mood, 1 "Down" is enough...he'll listen instantly and without fuss. Our wonderful friends :).

He died :'( he was my best friend, my boobie bear. I miss him so much, and love him so much... Seeing videos like this reminds me of him so much, but I know where ever he is, he's happy with other animals :/

Mine does the SAME thing on the bed. The only reason he can't sleep up there is because my husband has allergies, but I think our dog is jealous that the whole family can sleep up there because he gets crazy if I tell him to get down. Anywhere else and he listens. If I tell him to get off the bed he jumps all over it, jumps off, looks at me and jumps back on, like what are you gonna do about it? They really are smart and when they're 'bad' they're just having fun :)
