GOODWILL Wheeled Out a NEW CART | Thrift With Me | Reselling
Ойын-сауық
I stopped in at Goodwill to see what I could find to buy and flip for a profit. They were restocking and had just wheeled out a new cart.

The dish from Mexico with holes is probably a soap dish. The holes is to let the water drain out.

Score in the abandoned bin! Yes!
Thank you so much Jocelyn I really really enjoyed watching you go through the Goodwill and find some great things. ❤❤❤❤❤ love what you brought. Please stay safe and well too xxxx Mags ❤❤❤❤
Loved how you just cleared out the found cart.
Thanks for another great video, I decided tonight what makes your videos brighten my day-your voice and enthusiasm sounds very much like my daughter’s, she lives in another state and we only see her about 4 times a year, talk to her often though on the phone! Thanks for bringing us all some sunshine!
Oh cart! I'll take this and this and this! Where is this cart of wonderfulness when I'm thrifting?

To quote Juliette in the last video, regarding that snail's shell "it looks like a turd"! Wow, what a bin full of great finds, gotta love those junk drunk moments 😀
The owls are Degenhart Glass from Ohio. Not super collectible but is my family name so I love it.
The dish with the holes in it is a soap dish. The holes are to drain the water to keep your soap from getting mushy!
Owls are really making a big comeback! Love that colorful owl candle!
They sell those crystal solar system orbs on pedestals on Amazon for around $30 or so.
The case with the “M” could have once been a cigarette holder.
Remind me never to walk away from my cart with my "goodies" in it, you might be nearby.
You are the BEST at what you do!!! Andrew blessed to have YOU which I know he knows! Another FUN Video!
The holes in the small Mexican dish is for moisture drainage from a bar of soap
I think you should have just ditched your cart and used the bin. 😂
You got so many great things for the money that you spent! I thought you were going to buy everything in that cart! So many wonderful things in there. I think the little case with the M on it is a vintage cigarette case.
The pewter pieces hang on the wall. Enjoyed the video!

Love watching your videos!! I find them very relaxing.
The owl candle reminds me of Bitossi pottery! Nice haul , you did very well at the one bin alone! Lol I think they knew you were coming and said " here comes Jocelyn, she will find treasure in here and we won't have to put it out on the shelf" lol

That was fun. Some great finds. And love the candy cane nails!❤️
From talking with folks from different places, I am now to believe that pricing at thrift stores is being subcontracted. Now, not only are there fewer and fewer nonprofit organizations that own these stores, another piece of the pie is being served to yet another external source. What I find interesting is that these subcontractors have very little knowledge of what they are pricing. I know that they are using ebay, but I am told that they don't filter and take a shot in the dark with the asking price. They supposedly are pricing about half of that price, but with the volume of goods, it's pretty much a guessing game. I was recently in a thrift pop up Christmas store where most everything was barely vintage or even new. I found a nutcracker for 70 bucks, marked suspiciously made in Germany. It was trash. The clothes were hot clued and it looked amazingly like the nutcrackers that were sold at Walgreens about 5 years ago for 8.99. I get it that these places are paying relatively high dollar rent and no one is giving them a discount on, oh, I don't know, electricity and water, but it also seems like they truly don't know what they are doing. It's a risk that the reseller take everytime we enter the store and this is why it's so important to know your stuff and have a good idea of what the turnaround price will be. Good luck and keep looking for the monkeys getting ready to fall out of the tree. It's getting tougher to find, but the payoff is worth it.

So true about needing to have the knowledge when you enter one of these stores. Watching videos like this one really helps me to know what to look for out there in the "wild." Although I'd like to see more items that I can flip on the shelves, I find it even more exciting when something great slips past the person doing the pricing and I find a $400 item for $3.99. (My item like this recently was a Nancy Pawel pottery castle. )

@@barb-jm7990 These places don't know art or artists. If it's not findable, they guess. Mine was a hand turned oak burl and inlaid turquoise for 7, eighteen hours later, it sold for 200.

@@danielclaeys7598 I think staff are often entering the work force young/working for lower wages who just don't know. They price up shiny new/known name brands but if it's older or a little sad looking it's priced lower. I found a 60's Pelikan fountain pen in a worn, ripped, tattered pen case for $7 and sold it for $150.

Some may subcontract the pricing, but most places I go to, I still see regular employees putting stickers on a cart jammed full of stuff. And pricing can be way too high and way too low all in the same aisle of the same store. Who knows??

Absolutely makes sense!! Prices are going sooo High. It’s very difficult to find authentic Antique & Vintage items & if your a reseller it’s getting harder and harder to make a profit with high priced merchandise, high priced shipping & eBay, Amazon, Etsy………..etc. continuing to raise fees to sell on there platform. I use to Love going shopping for Antique & Vintage items at antique stores, Estate Sale, Thrift Stores, and even Yard Sales. But over the past 2 - 3 years prices just ruined a really fun day for me & my Grandmother. Not so much anymore!!! ☹️
I loved the wood duck🤎 Your nails are so fun❤️🤍❤️
Awesome, Crazy Lamp Lady time!!! Long day at work and so happy to see your video! Now, my day ends on a good note!
the molds from a Thing Maker..because what childhood back then was not complete without cooking plastic into little bug things
The holes in the Mexican bright colored ceramic bowl is for soap dish for bathroom.
The holes in the Mexican piece is to drain the water , it’s a soap holder. My gosh the metal creepy crawler Thing Maker. Santa in 64 brought that and loads of other toys, I wish I still had my trolls and their cave case.
Hi Jocelyn, another fun video - thank you. I think the Mexican plate may be an incense stick holder. I love all of your videos, but I really think your Thrift Store finds are super exciting. I live in Australia and we have very limited thrift stores, so I live vicariously through you. So thank you for the fun.
Those metal things are for making molds for fishing. My late dad had some and they sold well on ebay.
Love your nails, Jocelyn!! The Mexican piece with the holes appears to be a soap dish. The holes are drainage holes for the water residue. IMHO, that is.
I had that creepy crawlers set as a kid. Brings back such good memories. Got it for Christmas one year from my mom.

The Christmas Dishes are Faberware 1995 Katherine Babanovsky. I have the full set I picked up at a garage sale. I use at Christmas. Not tremendous resale value. The otigari owls & candle were all amazing. Fun haul.
Watch you everyday! Enjoy watching and learning from you.
Hess’s was my favorite store. Hess’s was so popular you can even sell their gift boxes.
Owl candle awsome
Great finds, I love checking out the cart's when they bring them out.
I like those fish and sail boats in my bathroom i have a lighthouse, fish ,star fish message in a bottle, boat in a bottle lol etc etc
Those finds were all such great pieces!!
Your videos make me crazy when I see your carts! Pull up that plastic piece in the seat so the footholes are covered and your stuff doesn't fall out by the handle!!!
Our goodwill does not allow you to pull from the “stocking cart”. They yell at you over the loudspeaker! And we’d get thrown out for that coffee cup, too. 😀

Thanks for sharing.
Fun trip!!! Thank you!!! 🥰
Nice haul. I'm learning.
Our Goodwill used to give out discount cards, you got a stamp for every $15 you spent. They discontinued the cards to keep prices low, and prices skyrocketed.
Oh you made me laugh today. Lots of fun stuff ❣️
Yep, that candle holder is awesome, love the dark green color.
The Owls are Degenhart.
Lovely finds today and you seem like your more relaxed self. Really enjoyed your trip today. Manicure is the best
The boot jack was newer, old cast iron pieces are smooth to touch,I have an old one with a very derogatory theme,a woman with her legs open,(saving it for grand dght.as example of how little woman were respected) Siesta book ends cute in kitchen holding cook books,Anyone ever suggest you resemble singer Halsey ??Great haul !! 😉

The Orange & Blue Dish from Mexico is a Hand soap dish :). That’s why it has holes in it for draining. Great Haul Today 👍
Great finds!
I think that ceramic Mexican dish with holes is supposed to hold a bar of soap. That's my guess !!
Always enjoy thrifting (virtually) with you Jocelyn . Your hands, fingernails always look well taken care of. Appreciate that so much as your hands are an important part of your videos. Not everyone is as careful. Just a thing I really notice watching thrifting videos. 🙃 Crazy!!
Wow,Jocelyn…you found some really great stuff❣️😍
The holes in the Mexican pottery piece is a soap holder , holes allow water to drain off soap
The little skippy horse the fabric is calico
The holes in the Mexican dish is for your scrubby or soap, so the extra water drains off.
Is that an engagement ring on your left hand?
Like the ring with the blue stone you’re wearing in this video. It looks lovely on you. Quite eye catching.
Jocelyn you found some great items, especially the pieces from the bin...........
I think that is a soap dish and the holes are so the water can drain off
That bin they had just rolled out was an IRL treasure chest of goodies! LOL You did well from just that bin alone. In all the times I've been to the thrift store I've honestly only caught people bringing out bins maybe a handful of times.
