You’d be surprised the difference in the next town overs goodwills! Mine is pretty bad but if I go 8ish mins into the next closest town their goodwill is like 5x bigger and better

You really should try to find a small town that has a goodwill. That's where I find all of my best stuff! When I went to one in Sandusky, there was nothing there. A few toys, ugly clothes and no furniture. The one in Willard always had the best stuff. I live in Ohio by the way. Sandusky is a big city( not as big as Cleveland or Columbus) but Willard is small. Try that. Small towns have the best old stuff. Especially old/ beautiful furniture. Also, habitat for humanity has good stuff as well. Cheaper too than the bigger towns.

@@anneshirley9560 yes I live in a small town, every surrounding goodwill in our area, even one’s 1hr away are all very over priced and usually junk. This is in Sterling, IL. Even all the way up to Rockford. And even the habitat for humanity is really bad too and it’s the only one around us

haha that wicker thing was a paper plate holder I used to have a set of them back in the 90s but would make a good centerpiece holder!!

In the 80s we had the circle wicker thing and it held paperplates to make them more sturdy

Your "wicker tray" is for paper plates! Yes, put one paper plate on and the wicker base makes sure no drips from a soggy plate!

Good Will is hella over priced IMO. At least in my area in Boston. No joke I saw a jean jacket for $20 at GoodWill and the exact same brand at Marshall’s for $15 BRAND NEW.

At my goodwill the tags have different colors. The color of the week is 25% off, last week's color is 50% off and if you ask for the "secret" color, it is 75% off. Plus add in my senior citizen discount (someday you will get it too) and I walked out with a Hartland Cake Plate for $3.00. Look up the retail price on that one!

I went it goodwill, found multiple pairs of Nike leggings all $5-10 but one had tags and price, these were my favorite ones I found by the way, and because the original price ($80) was on them, they were thirty. I was so upset because I had a budget and didn’t want to buy them for $30. It was so sad

My Goodwill has literally had items new with tags that were more expensive than the original price. I've found used items that need a lot of love to get them up to usability and then find out I can buy the same item brand new for less. Our Goodwill makes me sad. Like how can they be so expensive? My kids love to go thrifting to find unique things so we keep trying but it's a struggle to find a deal. Where do you live? I'm so jealous.

If I remember correctly the wicker piece you picked up is actually supposed to be used to hold a pot/pan/tray that just came.put of the oven....my mom had (maybe still has) them when I was little and I remember her setting her casserole dishes on them

Goodwill prices aren't much better. They had dollarntree baskets that were $1 new for 1.25 used.

I'm not sure how long ago you shopped here, or maybe this particular store is wonderfully inexpensive, but the Goodwills around here (Greenwood, Indiana) are not only way overpriced, but they no longer have sales. And they no longer have dressing rooms so you have to buy the item not knowing if it'll fit. And if you need to return it, you get a store credit. Not a refund. Goodwill used to be my 1st choice but no longer.
