Nah August fighting someone who truly loves their child and would do anything for them imo is the best

I don't think Irene is taking the easier way about the situation, rather it's her only way around it. People forget that she has been mentally unstable for hundreds of years, way before Erza was born (war, Belserion's death, Husband's betrayal, and her time in prison), and more so after (The lack of sleep, taste, etc). So I truly believed she cared for her daughter but she had no other choice but to unalive herself before her insanity could do more damage to her. It's the same way she had no choice but to give Erza away before she could steal Erza's body.

People forgot the fact that EMOTION IS WHAT STRENGTHENS THEIR MAGIC, it's mentioned in some episodes. The stronger their emotion, the stronger their magic and love is the strongest emotion. So even most of her bones got shattered, she still have strong magic.

3:25: in manga, she has the cut that Erza makes when she returns, but in the anime they censored it because it also exposed her breasts to a large extent.

At the end the love of a mother for her child is stronger than any suffering she had to face

Erza couldnt have killed dragon irene with dragon slayer sword cause even full fledged dragon slayers like natsu (who practised dragon slayer magic for years) need to go beyond their capabilities to heavily injure a dragon. But that was powerful enough to send irene back in her human body which is already heavily damaged.😊

Damn, this episode is one of the greatest. We get such an insane OST at the very beginning, then one of the best OSTs when Erza talks with Wendy, and the usual pirate OST at the end. Also a lot of emotions.

Natsu loves to eat turning into a dragon and eating tasteless food is too much of a sacrifice😂😂😂

Seeing Natsu's inner struggle on fighting who he was was probably my favorite part of the series since it was revealed he was E.N.D

My only issue is that Irene didn't think that her unaliving herself might unalive Erza too, like Acnologia is still around... tbh she could have put up a fight against Acnologia....

Irene has lost her humanity and in two moments of motherly love she decided to strip her presence from her daughter's life... Because in those moments she thought she would constantly be a threat to her own child. Such a tragic character.

Like I said in a earlier episode, Irene is the most powerful women Hiro Mashima has put into the story, even going into the 100 Year Quest and the people we meet during it. I still believe Irene is on top. I just wished we got to see more of her overall.

The last usage of the beautiful soundtrack OST during Irene's death. Was wonderfully reprised. Great reaction as always.

When Natsu retconned both E.N.D & dragonization, many fans were beyond disappointed. All that hype since the Tartaros arc just flushed down the toilet 😓 At least Irene's storyline was peak.

He chose the best option, to be a human. If he chose demon he would be easily unallived by anyone who got the book. If he chose dragon he would have to become one like Irene, and you know how much she suffered because of that.

the seeds weren't really explained well because no matter what Natsu is still part demon and part dragon althogh human at his core, the seeds breaking and the dicision were more metaphorical than litteral because there is no way to truely sever those connections and so it ends up being more an instance of suppression so the seeds won't grow but they are actually still there otherwise natsu would end up losing some of his strength and abilities which doesn't happen. furthermore we'll see more evidence that those connections are still there and that without the interference of a certain someone becoming that binding ling , Natsu would still probably die if zeref dies since he is still END since it's how he was given life again after his original life as a pure human was cut short and there's no way to change that since that is who he is now so like i said it is more of a mental and metaphorical thing rather than actually changing what he is and being a literal representation because he does in fact still have the dragon and demon seeds since those attributes are part of his essence and full self. which we see more evidence for later as well as in the 100 year quest to a degree.
