I remember The Scrambler at our local Fair each year growing up....great memories!

I 💞💞💞old rides.👍 Such a shame nostalgia is gone, and now, you can not even go and enjoy the new. For now, we can only have memories.😔😔😔🐾🐾🐺

I can remember my grandmother sharing memories of going to Coney Island....She rode a rollercoaster out over the water and sat in the seat in front of Bob Hope....Pretty cool! Wow I remember my grandmother had old black and white pics of her and my grandpa and their friends waterskiing there and others....Quite a trip down memory lane, so thank you Cashew Paul!

I was born in Cincinnati in 1951 and moved away 1961. During my last few years, before moving away, my parents could not tell me when were going Coney because I would be totally out of control with excitement. I returned to Cincy for a visit in 1966. No visit to Cincy in the 60s was complete without a trip to Coney. I was 15 then and fun at Coney is different at 15 then it is when your 10. Case in point, while in The Lost River, two of us stopped our boat by pushing our feet against the concrete walls. We waited for all the boats to stop behind us and when they did we hopped onto that concrete wall and got into a boat near the end of the line. We laughed like crazy watching the brake guy at the top of the hill trying to separate the boats.😂. The map at the end of your video brought back fond memories. Thanks for sharing.

The ride was called Scrambler in your days....built by Eli Bridge Co since the 1940s...it currently is marketed under different names and styles, but still the same ol Scrambler.

I love Coney Island. We went about 3 years ago. Didn’t know they were getting rid of the rides. Not many old theme parks left. We didn’t even get in the pool. I thought it was a little gross.

That was a sad day, Coney Island rides were an icon to Coney Island, guess they call it progression, but is all progression good?

This is majorly depressing, never got to go but will never in the future now! BTW I would ride the Rock-o-planes in a second, love them, I always say if were rich I would have an indoor amusement park, with all sorts of rides , but I also want a roller skating rink and a go-kart track! Hate when they keep closing down amusement parks! 😧 Glad you got to visit one last time, !!!
