Tell Em Florida! I'm surprised at Michael with his revolutionary spirit and his knowledge of Black History. Common sense should kick in here where he could conceive what could happen between a man and woman in such close quarters; regardless of their belief in preservation and disbelief in Miscegenation.

I am shocked by these comments about Florida not wanting anybody to move out. She wanted her family to get their education, find jobs and move out. James left for a better paying job and we know what happened there. JJ, Thelma and Keith should have been gone, especially JJ. Those who watched the show know what happened with Thelma and Keith and we know how the show ended. The point of Good Times was to give audiences who weren’t familiar a glimpse at the struggle and to give audiences who were familiar some hope. You can have a loving, healthy family, be poor, but not stay poor. Now, we also know about show business and how dirty that can be, but we won’t discuss that here…

I don't understand. going to college was a big step. Children move out every day at that age going to college. Why couldn't Michael move out. The writer didn't want them to do better they wanted them to stay in the project. Look at The oldest daughter she got married and still got stuck in the project. The show is depressing. People are supposed to do better not stay in the same place. If you keep watching this you will never leave the projects.

Good karma came to this man from a previous life because he experienced wealth and success (try 20 million dollars back in the 80s ) from a fairly young age . He was presented opportunities others may never get even if they had the same amount of talent. At some point he blew through that good karma by insulting in endless sin with strangers . So that same law of karma now dictates that this man has now depleted his good karma through his sinfulness and must now suffer . So he developed heart defects through divine arrangement and at age 54 collapsed permanently . This is about john ritter
