It's important to know that ALL matcha products are good from a health viewpoint. The ratings 'better' or 'best' are about artistic values --taste, fragrance, appearance.

I just tried 1 teaspoon of Japanese matcha blended with half a lemon, 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon, 1 teaspoon of grated ginger, and a little blue agave...I feel wonderful now. Hoping this will help me in my quest to lose weight.

Too hot water will make the matcha taste fishy. You don’t want to go any higher than 80*C. (176* F)

No, the leaves itself might be good but the processiong probably didnt include all the necassary steps like shading or deveining .

I drink matcha green tea at least 3 -5 a week and lost a lot of belly fat.

Bullshit. The only time that's the case, is when the matcha is within a premade latte mix of a cake or something. But u won't find that in fresh made , pure Matcha . Stop misleading people and scaring them !

Look for organic ceremonial matcha that comes from Japan and more specifically the "Uji" region (if I remember well) :)

I have drunk Matcha Tea for a few years now (over 4 years) and ALWAYS buy ceremonial grade matcha and whisk it using a bamboo whisk. I love it and started drinking it before it was trendy x

Thanks for the tips. I've ordered Matcha online several times. Each were supposedly high-end products. But none were vibrant green. All have been dark. Now I know a little more about what to look for. Thx

price doesn't seem to be any indication of quality. I bought some matcha off ebay and it's the best I tried so far. It's also very finely ground.

I just purchased a 16oz can of certified organic Matcha Tea. Written on the can it states this ... " Matcha is a natural and organic product. Each batch may vary in color actual color may be darker than the label, and has no bearing on quality or taste. " This Matcha comes from China. I've read that the China Matcha is better than the Match from Japan.

Mine Matcha is the bad one.... 😓

I import mine from Ippodo. I have to buy it in bulk because the shipping costs are so high but it's so worth it and so delicious.

I don't know about actual metabolism but when I drink a portion or strong matcha I do get a short energy buzz. I also disagree with the claim that expensive Matcha is "much better". That stuff is for snobs IMO. I bought and compared expensive and cheap matcha at an authentic Japanese store and it all tastes and mixes all the same.

Hi what do you think about boo tea matcha? It says 100% Japanese matcha green tea powder. It’s expensive! But it looks a bit muddy.. but has great online reviews so I’m confused 🤷‍♂️

Are your assumptions based solely on the colour?

Is the bad match still beneficial to your health?

I recently bought bad matcha. I don't necessarily hate it, but it tastes absolutely nothing like how I remember back when I bought some back in 2011. I used to buy it a lot back then, but then all of a sudden no one stocked it. I never saw it again until recently which is why I bought it right away... only to be extremely disappointed by the taste.

It's important to cycle your antioxidants because if you take antioxidants every day from an outside source (matcha), your body will lose its ability to make its own. :)

Thanks for the video; I really want to make matcha now! But regarding the quantity, is that all you make? Can you make it in larger quantities? I usually drink a teapot in the morning, or about 80 cl (800 ml if you prefer) of fluid. Could I do that with matcha?

I watched a video by Joanna Soh where she shows breakfast recipes that use matcha. She said that we should only consume matcha with low-protein liquids because the protein destroys the benefits of matcha. She also said that we shouldn't use high-protein milk (especially dairy milk) with matcha. Is it true that milk and high-protein liquids shouldn't be mixed with matcha?

Very helpful. I was getting heartburn from the matcha tea but now I realize it's propably because it's the bad one since it's very dark. Unfortunately where I live there's no good matcha for sale. Guess I'll try to grow some.

I want to start drinking more matcha for its health benefits, antioxidants, metabolism boosters, as well as having heard that a good matcha can really wake you up and fill you with energy. The dark matcha could be sencha tea which is often substituted for matcha because it's cheaper.

Sencha is usually not ground as fine as matcha. It'll look like tea leaves.

VonDa in Wonderland you can use any small bowl really, but I got my bamboo whisk at my local Asian mart. They will also sell the matcha. But make sure you’re buying quality, organic. The ones made in Japan are a little more expensive but a safer bet.

I have been drinking the fake matcha lol now I feel stupid for making myself drink it thinking I'll lose weight and feel awake and healthy

Matcha is ALWAYS grown from shaded grown plant. The more brownish version of matcha does not mean they are not shaded cos their farmers are too lazy n stupid to shade a month before harvest. It is because it contains some stems and veins of the plant instead of only leaves. FYI you are actually comparing n brewing green tea powder (mainly from China, India, other parts of the world) which u labeled as low quality matcha. Matcha is only grown in Japan. Green tea powder is gritty by comparison because it has not had the stems and veins removed. Another difference is the tea leaves are ground with metal blades instead of stones.
