I played it all the way through on a flight once. The attendant came over and said I haven’t seen one of those for years. Everyone else was on their tablets playing shitty mobile games and I was rocking the SP (Ags101 ;)

I sank SOOOOOO many hours into Gradius Galaxies. Phenomenal entry.

Don't know how but you always bring out games no one else seems to mention👍🔥💯

couldn't stop playing it back in the day, the replayability with teach class and the secrets to unlock were awesome. Also it had a great multiplayer option, it allowed up to 4 players at the same time

Great video! I got myself a portable emulation device and I'm mostly playing GBA, too many good games. I just love how amazingly well done the animations were done in so many GBA titles. I feel like pixel art games, as far as retro devices go (not talking about the new wave of indie games), peaked on GBA.

My favorite part of this guy's videos is how he uses songs from Megaman Starforce as background music. Only the realest know the glory of Starforce!

Have you done any videos on Gameboy/colour games? There's some really great stuff hidden there - my favourites being Shantae and Power Quest.

said it last time you did a gba game, but the lord of the rings the 2 towers and return of the king are some of theost fun diablo clones on any system let alone the gba. The return of the king even has jas co-op. Would love for them a highlight. Nice video and thanks for the regular uploads man

Hidden GBA gems are my favorite! Such a good system with so many good game's for the somewhat limited hardware Edit: How have i never heard of Blackbelt Challenge!? I am a conneseuir of obscure fighting games

Dinotopia unexpectedly appearing in the list made the video an automatic like for me. I love that game!

I know you've covered just about every gba game, but I'd love more gba content. Maybe a vid on on the best licensed games? Or one on unreleased games or homebrew games. I know there are a few that were basically finished but never got released or only recently got released (yes, new games are still being published lol), for example Motocross challenge, Travis Pastranos Pro Moto X, and Kien. There are also some crazy tech demos on gba you could cover, partial ports of minecraft, smash bros, 3d tomb raider, complete and better ports of Doom 1 and 2, a 3d game engine that operates on the gba, etc. Thanks for the vids!

Dont know how I missed Dragonball advanced adventure. I used to have legacy of goku 1 and 2 and buu's fury but havent seen this anywhere.

I played it a lot. Amazing little game

Car Battler Joe is so slept on. Sure it's a bit dated and the story is pretty flimsy, but it's one of the most unique RPGs on gba if not the most.

I first played Shining Force on my Dreamcast Sega Smash Pack. Friggin awesome game.

He’s back in action handheld time with the GBA

5:19 THIS is honestly one of the best love-hate RPGs on the GBA. Each version allots you MOST of the medaparts in the game. However, it’s only possible to get 100% parts only thru trade or ActionReplay.

One of the most underrated hidden gems ever! It's just as good as Diablo imo and it's handheld. This game deserves a new entry in the series or at least a remake, and/or port to the Switch

Medabots is amazing, such a good game I'll have to check out advanced adventures

Normally hate this kind of stuff nowadays, but you're one of the very few I still subscribe and watch. When I'vr thought, it's because you do so much right. 1. No intro explaining what a GBA game is or the history of the GBA to pad time. 2. You have some real obscure picks so I have new games to explore. 3. No reminders to subscribe every five minutes like the modern creators in this style do. 4. No corporate jokes so cheesy that little people really laughs at. For real, appreciate your channel being as great as it is.

Dragon Ball Advance Adventure is very fun! I still need to finish it though. The Metabots game I played as well though I got the Rokushou version. I found the game hard and while I did make some progress, I ended up getting stuck. Shining Soul I recently got for my collection after trying it on emulator. Seems pretty fun so far! I want to say I've played some of Fire Emblem Sacred Stones, but I actually played a partial rom hack that replaced the characters with characters from the Tales of games LOL! I probably shouldn't say I've played it then.

Gotta download your recommendation to my DS Flashcart.

Coming from you, saying a a game is one of the best on the system means something... i was putting off buying twisted, but now im definitely picking it up soon

brooooo sacred stones and shining souls 2 were so awesome. i still have both of my physical copies of them

I own Gradius Galaxies, and certainly had a lot of fun with that in the past. I also do have Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones, and made a great deal of progress in it, but never actually completed the story. I guess I got too distracted by other things. Perhaps one day I'll go back and finish the job.

Don't forget we never got a the complete trilogy release of the gaiden series on game gear, which game gear only got the 2nd game in the US and sega cd only got gaiden 1 & 2 with 1 short additional scenario for each.

Shining soul 1&2 are fantastic games. But of you going to play one of them play 2. I bought 3 copies of shining soul 2 just to play with friends and my bro. Love that game.

On a software emulating the GBA, so, yes, the games are stuck on GBA. Unless you actually ported by yourself.

@@EricFraga That's still playable on another platform. Even some official ports of games on consoles today are done through emulation. Like all the PS2 and PS1 classics you can play on the PS4 and PS5 for example. To me stuck on a platform would mean you cant even emulate it.

@@EricFraga So I guess unless Nintendo releases an officiail emulated version on the Switch for money it don't count to you even though that official version is technically the same as using a rom on another device? Alright then. Well pretty much all GBA games can be played on the Analogue Pocket handheld and before you go off saying "hur hur its software emulating" no it's not. There's no emulation on the Pocket it's actually running the game. So technically my point is still valid even if we follow your flawed and technically incorrect view. The game's playable on another device thus it's not stuck on the GBA. I mean I can also insert the game into a GB Player and run it on a Gamecube which is obviously not a GBA and there's also the DS and DS lite which both can play GBA carts without emulation. So if you dont count revisions and emulation there's at least 3 other devices that are not GBAs that can play these games. The games are hardly stuck on GBA.

I downloaded gradius galaxies because of this video, and I had to come back here to say that's it's one of the worst games I've ever played in nearly 25 years of gaming Literally the only positives I could even give it are that the backgrounds and music are decent. Not great, decent. But the more I played, even those became a problem. The music is like dial up genre? Was cool for a few minutes then starts grating your ears. And the backgrounds have so many particles effects and colors that it makes you miss enemy fire Truly an absolutely awful game
