@@MSAWCartoonist Nope, thats not the actual problem, furbies change personalities when you shake them hardly, sometimes the hardware fails and thinks that you are shaking the furby (source: *Matt Rose*)

My youngest aunt “Kaitlyn” (who was 6 when I was born and is now 20) used to have a Furby from this generation, (it was a yellow Sprite Furby) it was her favorite toy. She was 10 when she bought it from Toys R Us. It ended up nice, oh wait, it changes personalities

Are Furbies still being sold in 2023?, I used to play with one when I was just 7 years old, I miss them so much 😢

The 2023 models are great! They are soooo cute. But i personally prefer the 2016 Connect one, because it is slighty bigger.

Most cute personalities I've discovered so far is the "dancer" by playing music he will eventually switch to it and by petting it a lot on the back and sides he will be the "cute". If you chat a lot with him he becomes some valley girl. If you pull his tail a lot he becomes "crazy" and by feeding him a lot he becomes "evil". That's the 5 personalities i've discovered so far I don't think there are more than that.

Lol mimi is awesome :) brought mine today and it's changed twice already first it was cute and now its crazy!

I love evil mode. My Icy green furby(looks icy blue to me) Jamie is currently on that now. A week ago at my job someone returned a furby with the batteries still in. The evil mode had frightened the child who had received it.

I liked some things from the older Furby. I miss the light sensor, and I miss the fur on the ears. I also miss Peek-a-boo. I like the tail and the body movements on this new 2012 model a lot better. I also miss the old color variations--those were released over time, remember! I miss the tuft of hair on the top of the head, too. I love the eyes and personality differences on the 2012 model--but I think they change too quick/drastically. Loving my new friend, though! Fiance got me the black one.

These are still kind of creepy but I love them anyways! A good way to keep the kids entertained!

So. I can remember having the older one of these. It got soaked, so I have to remove it from the house before anything bad happened. Ah well. At least I didn't feed it after mid-night...

I miss this, too. I am not sure why Hasbro made such drastic changes. I miss the colour options, too. If a little kid had this for a week, the ears would be broken off- or the tail pulled out. I love the beginning stage, too. I like playing w/ mine- but miss the light sensor and little games, too.

I am 18 and I go to a university in Atlanta, Georgia. I was born in 1994, so I lived while the old Furbys were still being made. I wanted to compare the Furbys of the past to the new ones, and I was obviously disappointed. The new ones aren't horrible, I just liked the old ones. Regardless, I apologize for swearing and offending the younger members of KZread.

You CAN reset him. screwdrive the bottom off, look for the color of the furby button, its small and put the screwdriver in it in there and wait a few seconds, and to turn him off don't touch or talk to him and leave him in a dark place and he'll start to snore and then he'll be quiet and sit there with it's eyes closed.

so the key is to raise them right?

I treated my 2012 Durby well and it has the baby personality. :) Its cute.

Not according to the Furby manual. It says that it will not reset the personality. The only way to reset the personality is to turn it upside down, hold its tail, and hold its beak. It will have the out of the box personality.

Old Furby was much sweeter and had the light sensor. This new Furby does not play peek-a-boo or such... No GAMES w/ this one... and out of the 3 I have- they do say different things. Yellow furby says stuff that white Furby doesn't. The names hasbro gave them- Black Magic, Yetti, Spite, Voodoo and Phoenix Red bother me as well... These are furbies for adults- not SMALL kids.. If your small child is sensitive, go to Amazon/ebay and get him/her and old one that has never been opened.
