I love this interpretation of Peter. He was undoubtedly one of the worst characters of the series, he was a coward and a traitor and deserved everything bad that happened to him, but I don't doubt for one second that he felt remorse.

My heart! That last scene with Sirius, James and Remus put me over the edge, the tears won’t stop flowing. It’s so beautifully done, and the emotion is so strong its unreal.

Well I never thought he felt regret, this did make me change my mind. I always thought that Peter only became a Marauder was because he pretended to be friends with Remus, James and Sirius and only followed them around for protection against harsh bullying(Merlin, I was so cruel), like he did with Voldermort, whom I thought he never liked and maybe loathed but only followed him around for his life, because he didn't want to be killed. But seeing him like this changed it, though this didn't make him kinder or a better character, it did change the way some people looked at him.

Yhea, I didn't want to make him a better person, but more human. I think that he did what he did for fear, he lost his hope and chose Voldemort's side for protection because he was weak, but I also believe that he regretted what he did because he really cared for his friends but his fear was bigger than his love or them

I always got the sense that Peter never felt like he fit in with them but still cared for them for being there for him. But that he must have been confronted head on by a Death Eater threatening him to spy for them and he took the option most likely to keep himself alive, as he did all the major decisions that followed.

i never really thought about peter as a real part of the group. i mean, i know that they all loved him (as their friends) and that they were hurt but i just thought he was a piece of shit. now, i’m sitting in my bathtub, sobbing my eyes out because i feel sorry for him? bc in ur animation, he looks like a young adult - that he was - and not that weird ugly man in the movies. he looks human and that makes everything so real and i’m just really emo rn

I just realized that Peter was always an outsider. Everyone in the fandom thinks of him as the marauder who didn’t belong. Voldemort singled him out to squeeze over the Potters. His animagus form was pathetic and small while the other marauders had heroic and strong animals. And he didn’t necessarily fit any of the Hogwarts’ Houses. He was a coward, so he wasn’t a true Gryffindor. He had no ambition but to survive, so he wasn’t a Slytherin. He wasn’t loyal whatsoever when the going got tough, so he wasn’t a Hufflepuff. And he wasn’t considered to be terribly interested in knowledge and learning, which marks out Ravenclaw. Truly an outsider. And, whether people want to admit it or not, one of the most realistic characters in the series. There are doubtlessly many people who don’t stand out in a crowd and who couldn’t muster the courage to sacrifice themselves for others. I’ll always sympathize with Peter, even if he made bad decisions.

Never really thought about it like that.

I've honestly always felt so sorry about Wormtail because even though he betrayed his friends, at some point THEY WERE FRIENDS and honestly this matters so much to me. I mean he wasn't just friends with them because they were cool and he wanted some part of that. They were friends cause they were. But then the war started and he had to pick a side and he was scared, blinded by fear. I guess he must've regretted the decision later on tho

The sight of Remus breaks my heart I just can't- I'm gonna burst into tears and I've watched this already about 20 times! So heartwrenching and amazing!

The part that hits you the most is that Peter probably did feel immense regret from his decision.

The part with Remus makes me so sad, because he truly was left behind.

yes, James is dead, Sirius is in Azkaban (besides Remus blaming Sirius for what happened), and good Peter. Remus couldn't get a job either because he was a werewolf so he didn't have a home.

I never though about this before, but this song fits so well that it hurts. Amazing video, I can't believe I junt found it now

Ya know I used to see a lot of Peter bashing in the fandom, but if you really think about it, there must have been a reason James, Sirius, and Remus considered him one of their best friends. Thanks for making this, it’s really emotional and well done

never thought id feel anything other than rage towards peter but here we are...

I really like the way you draw Peter, but all of them look wonderful so.

I never thought of this song to go along with them but man does it fit so well! Great job and that last panel of them really hit me! It was the consequences of Peter actions right there reminding him that he put his best friends in those positions because he was too weak and too scared to stick by them even when they chose him against the odds! I loved it!

I love the fact that Sirius has his nails painted.

I love this animatic! I also really love how they're drawn as the ages they were when all that stuff happened in the books; it really shows just how YOUNG all of them were when all of that horrible stuff happened! Because of the movies, I think a lot of people forget that James, Sirius, Remus, Peter, Lily, Snape, and the rest of the Marauders' generation were only in their *early 20's* when the first Wizarding War ended, James and Lily died, and Sirius was thrown into Azkaban!

Oh my gods... This is it! The way you used the song, the way you breathed life into the characters... I loved every second. How you drew them all in different clothes, at differen heights... It suited them SO MUCH... And the ending was EPIC, and I am HURT and this is BEAUTIFUL and just I generally dislike Peter but he is a kid, he makes mistakes, it's OKAY TO MAKE MISTAKES and yeah... I really should not be watching HP animatics late at night when tomorrow, I have to wake up, but thank you so much for this experience, you are talented and I will have to think about this.
